Nintendo has great games. But they also have s*** that I could give a flying f*** about too. They're half amazing and half cringe.

Nintendo does it with charm, innovation and often renovating what their ips are. Granted, before, they tend to do it once per generation of theirs. Sony’s closest bet is their Japan Studio and MS relies on their partnerships with smaller studios...all three already nearing or at double digits of their biggest franchises.
Besides theyve already made identities for themselves, what they need is more games to validate ones purchase
I'm getting both.So... why are you losing?
I don't know about that one. Xbox is only popular in the states while the others are competitors are popular globally. To take the last of that identity from that platfrom is only going to weaken it more since it is not being made mandatory for it to remain around over any other device supporting its content.
Joke is suppose to be funny. The Onion is a satirical site. Just a joke.
Highlight of the show? Demon's Souls is the highlight of next gen. And equating this remake to enhancements is unfair. One new third party "exclusive" also going to PC : FFXVI. One new first party game with no date, trailer or anything: GOW. Everything else they showed is either multiplatform ( black ops) or something they've already showed before. Of course, in true Sony fanboy fashion, the highlight of the show is getting to pay again to play a game you already beat two generations prior, because backwards compatibility and improvements when free don't matter, but when you have to pay for them again they're just f***ing awesome.
And anyone who said anything above $500 after the xsx reveal should have known better. Of course, so should everyone believing Sony when they say that they believe in generations and that Horizon is only possible on next gen before it gets out that it's also coming to PS4.
But really...
Don't get why there are only 3 profiles. Surely a setup like this would need more flexibility?Definitely won’t go down well with some but Cerny did say that developers dev kits do use set frequency profiles but the PS5 will use smart shift technology to maximise power.
Cerny: Devs Don't Have to Optimize in Any Way for PS5's Variable Clocks, It's All Automatic
Mark Cerny clarified that game developers don't have to optimize in any way for PS5's variable clocks, as everything occurs automatically.www.google.com
This does mean though that currently devs are developing games around an average 8.3 tf profile if the rumours are true. Didn’t MS say this was the reason they opted not to go with variable rate GPU?

That's not a mistake. That's a genre. An accident is when you slip and stick your pee pee into a family member.
This has to be one of the least impressive launches of any console gen to me. I'll eventually upgrade, but see no reason with either platforms offerings to be an early adopter. I remember the Dreamcast launch, man that launch had a lot of fun titles. Most of titles I'm interested in I can play on what I have.
I am not feeling the variable CPU/GPU Smartshift thingy. If there is a range of CPU & GPU clock speed. I am going to use the LOWEST clock speeds of both CPU/GPU & design my game base on it, because any other combination is unreliable. More so if I am making an MP game.Definitely won’t go down well with some but Cerny did say that developers dev kits do use set frequency profiles but the PS5 will use smart shift technology to maximise power.

I just looked at that troll thread and it's not nearly as one-sided as you act like it is. I see a lot of idiot responses from the usual suspects. It looks like a lot of the negative comments come from that weird side angle shot of the Brutes (really dumb as a marketing pic) and Craig. One guy linked the demo, and you should look at the like/dislike ratio and read the comments there too. You posting troll threads mean nothing. Noone is saying the game looked amazing visually, but calling it 360 era (or even that resistance 1 looked better LOL) is literally idiotic.Dude you do know that those pictures are even worse?
Omg put them back!
Edit:
Well well well
A convo is going on about this right now.
Is HALO INFINITE looking like a 360 game proof Cross gen is not the problem?... Is it just the SERIES S?
Spiderman is Cross gen and looks stunning, Same with Horizon Forbidden West. So Why the f*** does Halo Infinite look so abysmal? :messenger_grinning_smiling: Is 343 that incompetent? Could it be... Having to cater to a 4TF console aimed at 1440p gaming as the base ? Only the top tier devs will...www.neogaf.com

From the surface level of what I read, I think The Smartshift maybe okay or preferable in productive tools like Anysis, Matlab, Catia, whereas fast as possible is better than real-time consistency.
The issue is not about the insufficient jump in tech, but LACK of launch title, & to make things worst, its probably the earliest jump. Last gen add more advance lightings & Physical based material, meaning extra work on shaders/materials/texturing, previous-gen normal mapping become mainstream, & it changes how assets were made, Massive amount of extra work to make high res model to bake the normal maps. That's mostly because this is the first generation with a med-gen upgrade. Normally we'd be making a 5 year jump in tech, now, we're making half that. Going from 4k 30 to 4k 60fps. If you look at the upgrade this would be compared to launch consoles, and it would be a lot more impressive.
Although, better fps and much faster load times for $500 isn't a bad deal at all.
I have a feeling they added this shiftbutt or can't remember the name as PS5 can't compete with Series X spec. But it's just a theory. The lowest clock speed profile for the devs looks like it could be for running PS4 games. That’s one hypothesis anyway.
Maybe this is the reason RE8 seems to be running into problems on PS5. This guy is supposedly very reliable when it comes to Capcom leaks. He tweeted about this a couple of weeks ago and doubled down on it yesterday.
Yeah that's a site that's going to be unbiased for sure lol.
The most shocking part of the thread is the that website is still around. I thought they died the same time as teamxbox.I just looked at that troll thread and it's not nearly as one-sided as you act like it is. I see a lot of idiot responses from the usual suspects. I also think it's ridiculous saying the game is a mess simply because the gameplay visuals aren't blowing people's hair back. It's the typical overstated pile-on BS that makes Sony Fanboys insufferable.
That makes no sense. What ever combos are there should be able to be hit 100% of the time the game requires it.I am not feeling the variable CPU/GPU Smartshift thingy. If there is a range of CPU & GPU clock speed. I am going to use the LOWEST clock speeds of both CPU/GPU & design my game base on it, because any other combination is unreliable.
