I still won't be comfortable until Biden takes office.
Yeah, isn't that secret storm supposed to come through and round up all the Democrats any day now? I don't keep up with the mythology but is it before or after the Kraken and Infrastructure Week?

The important dates are mid-December now. That's when electors actually elect a president, and that's where shenanigans might happen.

Honestly though I am allowing myself a little bit of optimism. Trump lost too many states to fight. If it were close in 1 state like in 2000, we'd be screwed, but he can't flip multiple states with even more votes. He's just an angry child ranting about losing.

It is encouraging that the Republicans are actually growing a tiny bit if backbone and are pushing him to move forward.

I don't know about the election fraud stuff, but I 100% agree with Quaid about how Fox News grifting and not backing Trump like they did every other conservative President before him. I figured that they would wait till the very last minute to turn on him because the big money Republicans didn't like Trump.

Republicans (real ones) saw which way the wind was blowing and jumped ship. They invested more down ballot (and did well doing that).

All Fox did was call the election based on the vote count.

It is hilarious that Trump expected any kind of loyalty after he turned on so many. It is like a bad mob movie where the boss kills half the captains and then is surprised when the rest turn on him.

Why wouldn't Biden put a Trump supporter in his cabinet?

Chris Wallace never challenged George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, or John McCain the way he challenged Trump in interviews and he certainly never would have chastised them in a debate like he did Trump.

I think they are turning on Trump because he is a poor steward over the American empire. Biden signaled that we are getting back into the world police game again. That means he's going to ratchet things up in Syria.

Biden's first priority should be to put people in place who will work to enact his agenda and that of the people who voted for him not people who do their best to stand in the way. How often do Republicans say they'll put a Democrat in their cabinet? I know Obama did the same thing and put Republicans in places like national security/military which was pretty annoying as it just kept the narrative going that Republicans are better at that stuff when they aren't.

You didn't hear? "7%" of Republicans voted for Biden so now he's focused on just what they want. That's what he should do, right?

Fair point lol but I'm just sick of this whole game, Dems at the top don't really care about their constituents either they care about their donors they just know they need to throw those of us at the bottom a few more crumbs to keep us around. Republican politicians don't even act like they care about their voters anymore they just make sure their voters hate democrats and when we keep talking down to them on cable news and social media calling anyone who disagrees with our views racist, homophobic or Nazi's we do their work for them.

Someone just needs to come up and be real and tell the truth, that most of us really aren't that worried about what everyone around us is up to and that the parties have been pitting the voters against each other for decades on social issues so we can all be distracted and not pay any attention to the theft going on at the top. They need to do it in a way that condemns the system and not the people, stop making people who disagree out to be enemies and maybe they'll be willing to hear you out.

Chris Wallace just hates him. Fox isn't turning on Trump they kiss his ass 24/7.

We all know how bad Fox is but I don't think are standards for them should be so low that we wonder what's going on when they call an election the same way they always have

I think the media has been harder on Trump because they know it fuels ratings, that being said Trump has said things that were obvious lies and baited them into fighting with him and they fell for it hook, line and sinker.

I personally didn't think Trump was much different from any other Republican but a lot of moderate Republicans on this forum acted like he was the antichrist. So it would make sense that they wouldn't want people who supported Trump in Biden's administration. That doesn't have much to do with the far left on Twitter calling Republicans names.

No, they were in complete lock step with George W. Bush and every previous Republican nominee. I remember distinctly how Chris Wallace only had really tense interviews with Obama and not McCain or Romney.

It's obvious that Wallstreet flat out didn't like Trump and so they were putting pressure on Fox News to challenge him more. We'll have to wait until 2024 to see how they react to the next Republican nominee, but they aren't likely to challenge whoever it is like they did Trump.

So what? It makes sense why Chris Wallace would specifically have an issue with Trump even if its just Trump and even if its personal

But they still didn't challenge him in any real way. Fox always has one or two people on the network that have a little credibility so what you are saying really doesn't have any basis in reality. You must not have been paying attention too close for the past 4 years. The idea that they were less behind Trump is laughable.

I definitely agree. The country will fall in love with the next Republican nominee simply because they will know when to keep their mouth shut

If Covid doesn't happen Bush is absolutely a worse President to me.

Too many people think that Trump is the "establishment" and that if he ends up in prison that will be some sort of proof that no one is above the law.
