Norton be spittin'
It’s baffles me how republicans allowed trump and the conspiracy nuts to take over the party.
You can see the leash republicans have had on these people for decades starting to break. I can only hope it does break and the party splits.
10s of millions of these suckers are getting grifted to hell and back by trump and co. and they are too stupid to realize it.
republicans have allowed the worst s*** posting edgelords/conspiracy theorists to take over the party.
I know you don't like her Yankeessuck but she makes some good points here, especially when it comes to economic progressives vs the overly woke judgmental left. We need to focus on policies that help lift everyone economically and ignore the virtue signaling crowd who want to make everything about how woke someone is or isn't, that stuff is a big turnoff to most people.
I think it should be supported but its an unknown how much people do support it. There were polls that showed voters supported it but thought it would just be optional.5. Medicare for All. We already know the majority of this country supports this. I don't understand why Democrats are scared to promote it.
6. While I fully support the "woke" movement and wanting the country to be equal for all, unfortunately the racist/bigotry is too engrained into the country's dna. this s*** needs to take a step back and cannot be the identity of the party.
South Korea I believe has a system where there is a nationalized health coverage that everybody pays into and also private insurance if you choose to go that route.I think it should be supported but its an unknown how much people do support it. There were polls that showed voters supported it but thought it would just be optional.
Public Opinion on Single-Payer, National Health Plans, and Expanding Access to Medicare Coverage | KFF
For many years, Kaiser Family Foundation has been tracking public opinion on the idea of a national health plan (including language referring to Medicare-for-all since 2017). Historically, our polls have shown support for the federal government doing more to help provide health insurance for...www.kff.org
67% of M4A supporters think they could keep private insurance.
That is also a subject of messaging. Police reform sounds a lot better than defund the police.
The Democrats definitely have a "branding" or narrative problem. Their policies poll pretty well, but the message gets lost in the right wing misinformation machine. Their message is far too much policy, while the right dumbs it down to way below the lowest common denominator.
Democrats need to start talking about the economy in general terms, and not in student loan debt and or minimum wage (two things that might not impact many of us one bit). They need to start talking to the middle class from the lower middle to the upper middle small business owner. Democrats should not have to fight so hard for these people. Quite frankly, their message is a little too long and involved and takes too much work to get to.
Biden's campaign started this. I think they tweeted "nobody making over 400k will pay more taxes) constantly. It needs a lot more though. Exit polls show by a large margin that the most important issue is the economy. Democrats need to do a lot more to talk about it (and not just about student debt and minimum wage).
For healthcare, the right has no idea how to fix the system, but are pretending like the status quo works. Democrats needed to hit the constantly rising costs harder.
Ultimately, they don't do enough to dispel the myth of the Republicans being "good for the economy". I hear so many left leaning pundits say things like, "It isn't just about the economy". You just lost votes saying that, because you're telling people "the gop is better for the economy". It IS about the economy. Every major issue lands back on the economy. Covid? Economy. Health care? Economy. Climate change? That's an economic problem. It is always the economy.
Republican voters look at me and think that I vote for "soft" issues. They are shocked to find out that I do vote the economy, and I vote Democrat. As a middle class person, the Democrats are better for me.
Bout damn time. 30+ losses in court finally brought the c***s to their senses hopefully. The transition begins...
