I thought you were a Sony Fanboy. What changed? Seems like you did a 180 when Microsoft bought up Bethesda.
Ok let me explain my position.(again)
I mainly play PS because my son and me share games(he hates xb)
Most of my XB 360 friends went PS4 so most of my online console friends are on PS.
Many times PS knocks it out of the park with games like Bloodborne,Demons Souls and GOW so for this they deserve praise.
I also enjoy my XB offerings although not as much but that's MS fault they don't have the games to match PS.

I praise what's good and am not loyal to any of these companies.

If I could only buy one console and Sony,MS and Nintendo made a console with comparable specs and online play......

Id choose Nintendo and I don't even own a Switch anymore.

Some of you don't have a clue about me.

And you hate the idea of GP/psnow because you like to own your games.

I thought I remembered you arguing that the PS5 was more powerful than the Xbox Series X a few months back.

Lol, I genuinely don't have a clue because I haven't been here.

No coil whine at least on the console he tested, after that it is not impossible that it happens on other games.
Fan noise level is 33-35~dB at full load.
The machine's fan can run at a much higher speed and thus improve cooling further, but this will be at the expense of noise.
Quiet console.
SoC temperatures are excellent.
The heat dissipation of the memory chips is poor, however, so the temperature is a bit hot, although it is possible that for Sony this data is still quite good.
The side panels (faceplate) increase the temperature on the VRM, memory, SoC ... etc, by removing them we gain ~5°C.
One of the GDDR6 memory modules is thermally a bit warmer than Gamers Nexus would like at 93-95°C, but this is a package measure, so it is possible that the silicon itself is a bit colder than that. You can only be sure of this if you have direct access to the chip temperature sensor to find out the actual temperature of the silicon in the memory.
The memory cooling system on the back of the PCB could be improved in future revisions of the console.
It is quite efficient in terms of power consumption given its power.
In any case the apu temperatures are good and the same goes for the SSD.
Overall Sony has done a very good job of managing the fan noise compared to the older consoles.
Tests of the Xbox Series X are also planned.
The "coil whine" that some have reported seems to be a loose sticker that has come off and is getting caught up in something, someone removed the fan and found that and took the sticker out and it was silent after that. I don't know why stickers need to be on all of these pieces in electronics, I'm sure it's has something to do with identifying parts but it just seems like a stupid thing to have to risk happening, you build a piece of hardware that costs hundreds of dollars each to make and then a stupid thing like a sticker can cause an issue.

One thing I hope people keep in mind is issues they think are wide spread generally aren't, if you see a thread on different forums talking about a specific problem they are almost always referencing the same two or three people who have an issue but because they read that "story" in several places many people let it get into their head that it's widespread.

Wouldn’t it just shred the sticker, or push it out?

Did the breakdown video(s) show any stickers near it?

It's one of those thin small stickers, I doubt it would shred because it will bend as it gets hit and it's not like something sharp is spinning 100mph in there, it seems like it gets stuck on a spot and the fan just keeps hitting it as it goes by.

now I’m imagining the sound of a tiny poker card tapping each blade

I've embraced the PS4 backlog so no worries on trying to secure a PS5 for now. Most of the games I'll be playing won't have any real advantages on the PS5 outside of load times anyways.

Not sure if it was already shared here, but someone on Reddit posted that they were waiting for FedEx to deliver. Pretty much kept an eye out all day and nothing. Eventually went to the shipping center and after FedEx tried giving him the runaround, the delivery driver eventually showed up and when he hands over the box the driver tells him to have fun with that thing. Just super sketchy. People are saying places like Target even have what the product is on the outside for some reason. Seems like a lot of theft from FedEx though.

Disgusting people out there. Probably tried to steal it for himself or scalp it.

Defund postal services, riots and looting peaceful demonstrations will solve this.

Three different fans, maybe more???

In fact, while on our test console we measured an in-game noise at 39 dB (A) at the air inlet, the noise emitted by the second console rises to 43 dB (A).

the third one was first seen in the official breakdown

From an inventory standpoint, no doubt. What a mess. I understand trying to avoid the 25% Section 301 tariffs from China, but manufacturing in Japan is doing Sony no favors whatsoever. I'm almost at the point where I'm considering giving up even trying to get a unit until they're easily available (when / if that ever happens, as they could definitely go the Nintendo route). You wonder how many people are giong to give up and go Xbox this time out of availability frustration.

Xbox is also selling out though, so shortages are real on both sides. It's basically down to who can manufacture more for the rest of this year.

I'm just trying to find a controller charging station ( Official one)

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon beginning of November. They didn't ship for like 2 weeks saying "we'll email you when we are able to ship this out". I finally couldn't take it, so I live chatted with them this past Saturday and it got escalated to a senior team. Got my official controller charging station delivered the next day after contacting. Go figure.

They have them in stock at my local Walmart, but I don't know why you can't buy it online and go in and pick it up.

My local Walmart and Best Buy stay sold out of the official one. Plenty of 3rd party ones.

After I get my Collectors edition of Cyberpunk, I'm easing up on Amazon. They've been real hit or miss for a while.
