What movies have you seen recently?

Are the Rambo movies any good? The 4k versions are all 8 bucks a pop on Amazon. Don't really remember them from my youth and have never seen the new ones.
First Blood was amazing. Two was ok. Three ok. Rambo was awesome. Last Blood was a ok.

For my first movie viewing on this 4K bb I watched Blade Runner 2049 for the first time since theaters I think. Not only is it a perfect syfy flick, it's shot so well. Perfect movie to show off this tv
It does look amazing. Other movies I’d recommend in 4K that also look amazing I’ve seen is Dunkirk, Aquaman, and The Dark Knight.

Tenet: 8/10

Strong similarities to Nolan's other film, Inception. Almost the same type of film that requires the audience to think beyond a linear storyline. Felt strangely low budget with the final set piece, but it was otherwise nicely filmed. There are too many unanswered questions however at the end, which are less enigmatic than the philosophical questions left by Inception.

For the record, I rate Inception as a 10/10.

Great movie. I finally need to watch my 4K UHD Blu as well.

I finally watched Ford v Ferrari, which I absolutely loved. While watching I kept thinking, "I've got to drive a GT40 in Forza Horizon 4 soon!"

The original 3 are action classics in my eyes.

The novel First Blood was based off of is pretty cool if you're interested. QUITE a bit different than the movie....

I’ve watched Ford v Ferrari a couple times on HBO this year loved the film. I’ve kept an eye out for it on sale in 4K haven’t caught it yet.

Listened to a podcast that compared First Blood book and movie. The book was a lot different Rambo was a crazy bloody killer in the book and spoiler alert his outcome in the book was different. The writer had to come up with new ideas to keep the books going with the movies because of how First Blood ended. If I remember right the Rambo 3 book is also very different and better than the movie.

I've seen all the Rambos (I think?) and while the first one is a classic, 2 and 3 aren't that great IMO. I will say that Rambo from like 2007 was badass and the amount of bullets shot in that movie might topple 100,000.

Watched one of my all time favorite movies Tin Cup it’s on HBO Max. This movie still holds up perfect mix of comedy, love story, and sports. Great cast.

I recently got around to watching Creed II on Amazon Prime. I really enjoyed it was a nice sequel to Rocky IV. Thought they did a great job rebooting the franchise.

I then ordered the Rocky Blu Ray collection all 6 films on sale for $20 haven’t seen them in very many years. Watched the original Rocky film so far and boy does that movie still hold up. A great classic. Will watch the rest soon.

Since there isn't much in the way new movies I've been rewatching older stuff.

Ender's Game - Rubbish.
Commando - Still a fun, cheesy action romp.
Captain Marvel - Couldn't even finish it.
Shawshank Redemption - Still Great.
Almost Famous - Very good.
Elektra - Forgot how poor some of the old Marvel stuff was.

Caught Ready Player One on TNT the other night, but fell asleep before it was over. I really liked the first half of the movie, but when it got to the club scene it really fell apart for me. I'll probably finish it one of these days, but for what I saw I'd give it 2.5/5 thumbs up
