Is Gears 5 really that much smaller on the Xbox Series. It says 96GB in GP but only 35GB when installing. That is a huge difference.

So you can’t have a next gen console if you own a 1080 tv? Nonsense. The Series S offers a next gen experience for people who play on 1080p TVs. Buying a SX or PS5 on a 1080p tv is a waste of money.

If one wants a next-gen experience 1080p or not... 4TF's doesn't cut it.
The Series S has a more powerful CPU than the PS5. It’s pushing a quarter of the pixels or less the the Series X. The only narrative I’m seeing is your narrative that the SS isn’t a next gen console.
GPU>CPU when determining a gaming device power.

The PS5 targets 4K. The Series S targets 1080. The PS5 has at best 2,5 the GPU power which is spent pushing 4 x the pixels. The CPU is the thing that’s allowing 60 fps in games as opposed to 30. The CPU will allow for better AI not the GPU. The SSD will allow for fast streaming data for bigger open worlds. The ONE X had a pretty powerful GPU but because of the crap CPU it was still limited to 30fps where the SS can push the same
Games at 60. The truth is you’re pushing this narrative because you want to make out the Series S will somehow hold the SX back.
Honestly, I wish they could have gotten 6 tf’s in the S. But I’ll be interested to see how machine learning manages to make lower native resolutions look sharper.
Seems like some are trying to create their own next gen ethos. Can't blame them really. I mean, what is next gen about these machines? 4K was done last gen, 60 FPS has been around forever, 120FPS has been done on PC for a long time. Faster load times could be done last gen. Even Ray Tracing was done last gen if I'm not mistaken. No actual next gen only games.
