Far Cry 6

It was one of the helpers that I recruited to help me that turned me off. He was a total buffoon and after a weekend of playing I had enough. Far Cry 5 was one of my bigger disappointments this gen and really Ubisoft in general.

I liked Jess...I think that was her name who used the bow. She said killing people made her d**k hard or something.

Personally I wasn't a big fan of the AI companions being such a prominent feature. I kinda wish they'd abandon that aspect or at least make it a more background feature, but it seems like they're really doubling down on it now. I just hope they put the same amount of effort into doubling down on other gameplay elements as well like takedowns. I was really bummed they removed a couple of the takedowns in FC5 and didn't even add any new ones to take their place.

Also, we better be able to have a stabby weapon to do them with. Bonking someone on the head with a paddle just doesn't hit the same as impaling them through the chest with a mah-shet-tay.

My interest in this game went from 8 to virtually 0, graphically it looks last gen, the main character looks like she'd get annoying fast and nothing about it seems as fun as the last few far cry games were.

Looks liie ass you mean.
I re-watched some footage, parts of it look decent but the models looks like barely dressed up last gen models. I will say the male character voice is less irritating than the female voice but graphically this game is a let down. Some of the weapons look fun though, that gun that plays macarena is hilarious.

Doesn't look any better than Farcry 5 graphically and I'm sure gameplay will be recycled from the previous games. Typical Ubisoft. Not a day one purchase for me. Bargain bin it is.

I don't get being upset by the game graphically. It was supposed to be released already and wasn't going to be a true showcase for the PS5/XSX. Hell, it might have even had a chance to release before the new consoles launched if it weren't for the pandemic.

I liken it to exactly what Farcry 4 was when it launched on old and new systems when it originally released.

Series needed a reboot of the concept, like AC had last gen starting from Origins. This series haven't changed much since 3.
I had high hopes of 5, but the only thing new was the sidequest being more organic.
Definitely not day one for me.

I would hope missions were similar to GTA. I think I'll play this one, but not sure about day 1. I think Back 4 Blood is out in Oct. and that might be my game for awhile.

I enjoyed Far Cry 5, but there are a lot of repeititive checkbox missions like retaking another outpost, or bomb another tower. I got bored in the final 30% & forced mysef to finish more "side missions" to get enough points, allowing access to face final boss.

You can buy vehicles but they are mostly cosmetic, & very few missions required them. Just get the few with biggest guns & you are done.

Reviews seem pretty similar, lots of fun but very "same-y" which isn't surprising at all. I'll probably grab it eventually. I always enjoy the formula even if it is getting old.

Game is butt on console but oh so sexy on PC

F*ck yes. You can actually wander around with your weapon sheathed and not have every enemy attack you.
FC5 was decent, but not as good as the previous titles for sure. I'll probably get this one. Seeing as I've played and finished all the titles before it. I also love the jungle setting.

Probably my favorite Far Cry setting so far. It's absolutely massive but there's so many distinct little areas.
