After all the updates and downloading the world updates from inside the game (don't forget to do this if you're interested in seeing the associated areas), I've only had time to do the first basic tutorial, but the inside of my cockpit looked nice while sitting on the runway.
I’m just going to dive in with no training. About to take off from my local airport and fly down to Galveston. What’s the worst that could happen….
I may try the same, maybe there's an achievment for crashing my plane in less than 1 minute.
Taking off from my local airport. First try I got in the air lost control then crashed. 2nd try got in the air and figured it all out. Was able to find my house, my job, and flew out to the nearby lake. This game is f***ing crazy. The future of gaming right here. Think of the possibilities.
I flew from my hometown then through downtown Houston then landed in Galveston. Landing was a b****.
I got most of the flight training done. Found out I need to practice VFR more. I did take off from my hometown airport and flew over my house. Pretty amazing. I have a long driveway that leads to a detached garage behind house and the game reflects that. My wife is amazed by the game. She wants me to fly around San Francisco now.
I was with the tutorials all the way until they wanted me to fly parallel to the runway, pass it, then turn around and land on it while maintaining altitude and speed. Nope. Don’t have time or inclination for that s***.
I think I’m going to use this game to just look around and explore. Looking forward to showing this game to my dad it’s going to blow his mind.
That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Although, I did crash 3 times before getting it.
The menus are horrible for controller use... Might be the worst menu system since destiny.
I with l wish they would have redone the menu for controllers, as it's tedious, but it works. Game is amazing though!

Second day, after finishing up basics, practiced a landing at my regional CO Airport, then just took back off, and toured around my mountain town in the Sessna. Holy sh!t, the game/sim is quite FANTASTIC! This is next-level! I'm in awe of what they have done here! Thinking about actually getting a HOTAS or maybe yoke setup just for this!

I failed with the nose up. It was like a roller coaster. Nailed the second one though. My Elite seems to be very sensitive, and the left thumb is loose so a push on it up doesn't make it move right when I start pushing it. Not getting a new one since it doesn't have a share button.
