The performance uplift is incredible on PC. I'm getting 50-90 FPS in places that were pushing 30 before. In New York it is almost locked at 60-80fps with the heaviest places being ~60fps.

Let's see, went to Fuji, New York, Dubai, Cairo, Moscow, Australia, Greece, Zion, Argentina...Up to 70 hours flight time now lol.

Can't get inverted up and and down to work in external view... I've done exactly as I did for cockpit view (just remap up and down in controller camera settings) but it just won't work.

If you go to discovery flights and scroll down you'll find around 8 world updates for different places, UK, America, Norway, etc. They add a bunch of places, landmarks, better grammetry, etc.
Those world updates aren't small. My village layout is correct so will be interesting to see if everything else is once its finished updating.
It took the screenshot before those boxes appeared. You will be all good. I am using the Elite 2 and use the guide button and it happens to me too, but it's always the proper shot.
Did the basic control training last night. Should I learn how to take off and land and then move on to the real game or just go ahead and get in on it? TBH the trainings are BORING.

I just downloaded the updates for the US and Japan, gonna try them out first and see if my interest continues.
I lol’d when I flew out of the nearest airport and eventually found my house through large landmarks, that was great
Why can't you download the world updates when the console is off? What's the game downloading the updates to?
Even on PC the updates are kind of a nightmare. You first have to run the MS Store app, download a patch there, then run MSFS and download another patch. Finally you go into the marketplace for world updates, as those are actually treated like DLC "purchases" even though they are obviously free and part of the game.
I pretty much sat there all night getting the PC version updated. Didn't even get a chance to fire up the Xbox version.
The world updates are a pain. You have to leave the game running or the dl stops and they aren't exactly small files.
Got 4 downloading now at 9.96GB and they are taking ages due to the high traffic.
