Turn on the higher bandwidth HDMI port in your tv settings?DV gaming isn't showing for me even though I turned it on in the Xbox settings menu. Checked Netflix and the DV notification pops up like it always has. Fenyx Rising, which is supported, is absolutely washed out.

Did that on day one. I'll try Gears 5Turn on the higher bandwidth HDMI port in your tv settings?
When Witcher 3 and CP2077 get current gen upgrades I'll give it a go.
Good to know... now I await the upgrades.I tried Witcher 3 earlier, as I always found certain areas overly contrasty and difficult to make out detail with their HDR implementation, pretty dramatic improvement in Dolby Vision. Having the game and display figure out the proper meta data range rather than hoping the developer setup their HDR to properly match the console HDR optimizer tool is wonderful. Look forward to this finally getting the next gen patch, when ever that will be.
What you get?
FYI supposedly DV modes have higher input lag so I don't even try them.
Enjoy. You'll hate it but I got a 65" C1, range is a little limited where I live and this came down in price a ton so I just jumped at it.
I might give it a go just to see what it's like, probably won't be good for MP games.
Enjoy.
I don't hate it but I don't trust em enough to ever buy.
Ive accepted that I'll probably just be out of gaming for an extended period once my gpu becomes obsolete.Xbox boss Phil Spencer says console supply issues will continue into 2022 | VGC

HDR 10 won't cause input lag on modern TV's.Tried turning off HDR and HDR10 and ALLM on my series x in order to see if the insane input lag would go away when using dolby vision gaming.
Didn't change a thing.
What tv do you use?Tried turning off HDR and HDR10 and ALLM on my series x in order to see if the insane input lag would go away when using dolby vision gaming.

I have a TCL 5 series from 2020.What tv do you use?
Yeah, latency is too high for me. I have a Sony Bravia 900H. Shame.Tried turning off HDR and HDR10 and ALLM on my series x in order to see if the insane input lag would go away when using dolby vision gaming.

Check out Hivebusters campaign, if you haven't already. It's amazing. Finally finished Gears 5 now that they added DolbyVision support to the game. Looks stunning. Going to give Phsyconauts a play through next as that is also supported.

Storage will be a killer with the S and GP.In a last desperate bid to revitalize my interest in gaming, I've decided to pick up an Xbox Series S. This is my last hope. My only other option is to become a PC gamer, and no one wants that.
No, j/k, although I do hope Game Pass gives my gaming hobby the shot in the arm it needs. I've grown increasingly disenchanted with Sony's PS5 slate of releases. Horizon and Ratchet & Clank are really the only ones that interest me. I'm also getting tired of paying lots of dough for games, then losing interest in them after a few hours. That happened most recently with the Mass Effect trilogy -- $60 down the tubes -- but it has happened with $20, $30, and $40 titles, too.
I keep hearing people yapping about what a great value Game Pass is, and although I tried it before (2018?) and it didn't do much for me, that was probably because PS4 was going strong, and I really didn't have room in my life for a second console, so I didn't give it much of a chance. But looking ahead to next (er, current) gen, I don't see much on the horizon (except Horizon) to get me excited about PS5. As you know, the console is very hard to find, so the delay has actually given me time to think and to re-consider.
I figured that an S is a low-risk move. It's cheaper, easier to find, and will allow me to see whether GP either revitalizes my interest in gaming or just presents me with a whole lot of games I have no interest in playing.
I have some mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, I know I used to enjoy gaming, and it's been weird to see my interest dropping off for many years (I truly enjoy maybe one game a year, haven't really been "into" gaming since 2017). On the other, I don't really WANT to spend a whole lot more time on games. I have other things that I'm more interested in (that's part of why my interest has dropped off), and I'd rather gaming not take away from those other activities. So I have mixed feelings about it.
I see the appeal of GP, though. It would be nice to not have buyer's remorse so often, and to be able to stop playing a game and switch to another whenever you felt like it, rather than feeling like you should continue playing because you paid for it. If you're doing the subscription service thing, you aren't losing anything by ditching a game and moving to something else.
I like what I've heard about the quick-resume feature, too.
Anyhow, I may be joining the Xbot ranks again, so I thought I'd check in. Who knows how it'll work out. I'm a fickle bastard.
