Regarding putting PS games on PC
God Of War Devs Talk PC Release, Mod Support, And Playing With Keyboards
We spoke to Sony Santa Monica’s creative director Cory Barlog and senior manager of technical production Matt DeWald about bringing the highly-praised PS4 release to PC.www.gameinformer.com
How much insight do you guys have into how Sony decided that the PC was a market they wanted to push this on to? Was that something you were championing early on?
Barlog: I think it was the collective of studios all over saying this is a really good idea. We should be looking into this. Eventually, I think it reached that tipping point. When we had sent so many suggestion box suggestions that they were like, “I’m tired of hearing all this. Fine, we’ll do this.” It’s a process. We’re still figuring it out as a company and as individual studios how to do this and what the process and strategy will be.
So, do you think that we might see Ragnarok on PC sooner than four years after its console release?
Barlog: I have no idea. Right now, we’re taking it one game at a time, kind of looking at each one and determining, “Okay, is this the best thing?” And we’ll gauge how it does. Do people enjoy it? Did we do it right? Is there anything we did wrong? What can we do better in the future if we do this again? But at the end of the day, ultimately, it’s Sony’s decision.
And at the same time as console. The cross over is minimal. They probably would have sold 19.4 million on console if it was sold at the same time as PC."Matt DeWald: We’ve sold almost 20 million, like 19.5 million copies on console, but it’s surprising to hear that there are still people out there that have never played it. And if they haven’t played it on console by now, they’re probably not going to play it on console. So this gives them an opportunity to play it on a platform they might play."
Makes sense to sell on PC after console sales have been saturated.
You doing ok there? Just making sure you were not too meth'd out. Seems like it, but I don't want to prejudge.

I was surprised they had the PC port ready so long ago, waiting for Sony to rubber stamp.
Didn't see long ago mentioned in your quotes.
Or anything that wasn't known or shown by Sony already.
Game is PS4/2018 old.
That's ok. Chalk it up to age.
We can't even make this up.Still not sure the point or if you even read what you posted?
Time you step away from the keyboard. You are just embarrassing yourself now.We can't even make this up.
No chance in hell. And at the same time as console. The cross over is minimal. They probably would have sold 19.4 million on console if it was sold at the same time as PC.

Nah, unless Sony changed their mind. They said they are focusing their games on console first and foremost.
They don't have to dedicate other resources to making a PC port at the same time. They focus on maximizing console hardware first then after couple years, they can do a PC port.
Yup, it's happening. And it good that the developers are speaking out because they want it too. It's a win win for gamers no doubt. Not so much PlayStation plastic warriors such as yourself. But for the majority of the normal gamers out there, it's a win win.No chance in hell.
See any of the PC versions sales vs the PS4 versions sales. Just in case it's hard for you I will list those games.
Horizon ZD
Days Gone
And eventually Gow sales.
They always flip flop and change their mind. In fact they did. Makes sense that they would acquire these PC port companies too. Which is great news for PC gamers no doubt.
Never said they did. They will though. They also said that they didn't want to put games on PC, and they changed their mind and saw the demand. They also said Miles was a PS5 exclusive. They also put MLB the Show on Xbox (contract sure, but that was a day we never saw coming). They also said they didn't want to join MS in cross platform play. They also said they believe in generations. It's called business. They are rolling with the changes in the industry. Even the developers want their games on PC. And now that Sony is embracing PC, that is a good thing. And the sooner they make their games available on PC, it's a WIN for gamers, which is what is the most important thing. They still haven't released a PS studio game on PC the same day
I don't think they will. Unlike Xbox, day 1 PS exclusives on PC has no big benefit to them.Never said they did. They will though. So again...we will agree to disagree. I am for the gamer, you are not. No big deal.
It's in PC right..? So technically, it's already on Xbox via the browser streaming no?Xbox version coming soon?

"We tried to add as many options as possible because why limit people who want to play the game?"www.gamespot.com
I think it will bring them even more record revenue. The PS to PC crossover is minimal. Pretty sure they would sell the exact same amount if it was on PC day one.I don't think they will. Unlike Xbox, day 1 PS exclusives on PC has no big benefit to them.
Will realeses come quicker, absolutely, but I think Sony will always keep a healthy several months exclusivity to the PS.
They don't.If PC gamers actually believed this they wouldn't be buying PS5's.
Same as if they release on PC 6 months later. Engagement on the PS platform is important.I think it will bring them even more record revenue. The PS to PC crossover is minimal. Pretty sure they would sell the exact same amount if it was on PC day one.
They do.They don't.
They don't.They do.
What most who game on PC don't do is buy Xbox's.
Do some? sure but most don't but they do own a PS5 and a Switch.
Most of them buy PS5's and Switch because they want to play PS5 and Switch exclusives.
Big yawnThey don't.
Correct. Same as PS. Xbox has record sales with their games added to PC, which makes it clear.
The best scenario is PC, Xbox and Switch
PS games are on PC.
