When I discovered slashing weapons suck on armored foes that changed a lot, lol. I also roll between 3-4 different swords with a couple favorites.

Hey guys, I completed Ranni's quest and went back to her tower to see if she had more to say which she did. But when I left Blaidd was waiting outside and is hostile to me. I killed him but I'm wondering if I did something wrong to make him attack me. Perhaps that's why I didn't get the full set of armor, I seem to be missing his cool looking wolf helmet.
You didn't do anything wrong. That's just how it plays out. As for the helmet, you don't get it with the kill. However, it exists....

Academy is awesome,just watch out for the Burger Kings
Yeah, the first time I walked in on some of them was... illuminating.
I got to play a fair bit this weekend. Spent a few hours working through the church of the cuckoo area, getting a little better each time until I finally could clear the area leading to the lift without using more than a couple of potions, and got up into that area with the Burger Kings and the Giant Pissed Off Teapot and cleared that a couple of times and died to the Wolf. I figured I was getting close, but I decided to just go start clearing up more of the map instead and filling in sites of grace, etc.
I also discovered I really want the antspur rapier. I think my current goal is to go ahead and get that and then use it and alternate Rogiers and the Frozen Needle in the other hand (since frost is overkill for trash mobs but apparently big for bosses), and then go back into the academy. Or not, depending on if something else catches my eye while I wander about. Love this game.

After 145 hours and level 167, I finally finished the game. First time, finishing a Souls game from FromSoftware.

Are some of the incantations broken for anyone else? I got one where it shoots flames out of his hand briefly for a second as well as the upgraded one, the upgraded one looks cool but does no damage to anyone. The lighting spells are all really cool though, the lightning spear reminds me of the power of Zeus that Kratos used in the first god of war.

Close to 200 hours now,level 125 but stuck on Commander Niall in the snowy area...short cut is done though so theres that.
Holy crap... I spent 75 hours to platinum the game and I was level 168 or something but I did do that farm at Mohg's palace that gave you 100k in like 5-10 mins depending on how fast you kill the spawns.
