Can't pull the lever because of the stupid message. Any message you rate poor should then instantly disappear from the players world.

wasted 3 hours trying to beat The academy boss, & failed. Queen of the full moon. Want to to installed. I am level 40 btw. Also you ned to walk 5 mins to reach the fight......adding to the ignorance.
I figured I could level up a bit, but I don't like to grind. So maybe I should quit.
I tried to like the game, but every time I play, it feel like I am forcing myself. The game is fun less than 20% of the time. The controls are frastrating, awful lock-on. Half of the time, I am battling the controls.
I give it one last shot tomorrow, then decide to delete it forever or not.I feel I am trying too hard to like the game, but I just do not feel the game. I give the game like 30 hours, & honestly, I feel the hours can be spent on other much better stuff.
The only fun thing is the exploration, but enemies keep respawning which makes it annoying as well.

Newb….. Hit Y to switch message. Either that or the lift is locked because you haven’t activated it yet from the other side.
OMG, I've had something similar happen. I wasn't able to activate a site of grace because some dipsh!t put a message right on top of it. I thought if I rate it poorly I'd be able to get the button prompt to activate the site of grace but nope. And because of that I've had to make a longer journey to where I want to go. Annoying AF.They need to sort this s*** out.

Not in my case, the button prompt to select a different action on the d-pad doesn't come up. And there's no angle I was able to position myself to get the prompt to allow me to activate the site of grace. Its a stupid thing that I hope gets sorted out because could halt progress.
There are a few posts in this thread where you've been completely unaware of some mechanics when people were asking for help. Hence the question.

In some cases yes but due to a patch some are bugged and you don't get the option to switch between choices
They also need to stop purple from being able to put them right next to ladders. Annoying when you need to escape something.
Nope. None of of them are broken. If you can’t activate a lift it is not because of a message. It’s always been like that in these games.
Well if it is not locked you should be able switch from the message (sounds to me like it is locked though even though you've used it before). It is not possible in the game to block an interaction with a message but that is not to say you didn't hit a bug.
If it is the big huge lift at the capital it needs to be activated from a certain location first before becoming re-usable. That one had be stumped in my first play through.

I was having some trouble with the twin blade gargoyles. But one of them ended up falling off the map, lol I'll take it
That might be worth a temporary diversion to offline play to be able to activate it. I'm playing totally offline so since the beginning, I haven't seen any of those stupid messages and I haven't missed them.
Beat the game and all trophy bosses, just need to gather all sorceries/incantations/talismans to get the platinum 
Good stuff. I stopped at the Elden Beast on my first character and started a second. When they release DLC I want to able to access it straight away and assuming they lock it behind progress progression, like they have done to date, I don’t want to have to spend hours getting to the point where I can play it.Beat the game and all trophy bosses, just need to gather all sorceries/incantations/talismans to get the platinum
Whenever I get my second character to the Elden Beast I’ll finish the last boss with one of them and bring that character into NG+
Not gonna lie, Astel of the Void kicked my ass for two play sessions. But I got that bitch. I'm going to have nightmares about that insta death teleport grab.
