2014 Sony E3 conference discussion thread.

Not one reason shown to buy to PS4. Not sure how they managed it, but they managed to have less exclusives that interest me than that other company. The Morpheus announcement and lack of content was hugely disappointing. No Last Guardian. No new interesting Ips.

Been a pretty disappointing E3 thus far.

It was a pre-rendered movie... and I think the Blur pre-rendered Halo 2 cinematics look easily as good, if not better.

The good news, though, is that gamers have a ton of great third party games this holiday.

There were plenty of real time tells, and frankly, after seeing the vids and making of Assassin's Creed:Unity, I'm more impressed by it. The faces in that are incredible as well, with amazing shaders. I think IGN has it.

What I do not believe is real time was the Bloodborne trailer. Neat, spooky imagery but not enough to get real worked up over.

Imo, as far as the conference goes, MS crushes. It was fun to watch and didn't get bogged down. The games shown were far more interesting, imo. The Division, the Witcher 3, SO, some beautiful indie games, AssCreed, Halo Collection (even though they didn't show much), Forza Horizon 2. Even COD has me interested. I don't care which are multiplats ( they both showed em).

My favorite for content was actually Ubisoft. AssCreed, FarCry4, and friggin' rainbow 6! Still, MS wins all for watchability.

So much goodness, I don't know how anyone can be unhappy with this E3.

this baffles me as they honestly had plenty of time to get their s*** together. Especially Microsoft. There consoles should have been ready to go a while ago. I feel like they are a year too late at least. At least if they came out a year earlier people wouldn't be as disappointed in the hardware.
 
Nothing to make me want a PS4 yet but No Man's Sky looks interesting.

No TLG was expected but still sad. If its not shown by this years TGS I'm going to seriously consider it canned.

Sony is very very arrogant.. I told a co worker if either side bashed the other even in the smallest sense I was done with them
that's important to me it may not be to you.. Phil handled everything with class. I respect that
sony did bash Microsoft and then turned around and did the same thing they have accused Microsoft of, in the past

what was OT was when they brought up neogaf.. yep they are indeed in bed with sony

and then there was tv tv tv.. so ok for sony, bad for Microsoft
also they did the salesman pitch of fudging things.. if you listened you would have thought Destiny, GTA etc were Sony exclusives
I do not care about extras that they might be getting, but do not lead people astray with lies

it should matter to Sony, cause I spend a lot of money on games
7 alone in October and since I buy multiple its over 14 games all for Microsoft

I wanted a reason to buy a ps4, I do not have that, what my impression is of a company is important to me
I wanted to see games only, no false impressions they are exclusive only to you unless they really are
no putting down the other side, I just want to know why should I want what you have
not sold.. used car salesmen tactics

I was NOT happy with Microsoft last year at this time at all.. they have convinced me otherwise and that took quite some time
and I am NOT easy to win over

last year I was going back to PC gaming, and I still might when the steam machines come out
 
I thought they had a damn good show but I can't help but feel SSM's I.P which got cancelled which was a big fall 2014 game.

Happened when the PS2 launched, too. Sega Dreamcast was kicking Sony's backside in the home islands and they launched the console with a horrible handful of upscaled 16 bit games. A year later the Xbox launch was pretty slim, it's saving grace being Halo.

Personally I only care about games not about who appears to be arrogant. Sort of pretending a game is exclusive is lame but Microsoft has been doing that at E3 for years and that didn't impact any of my purchases for them.

The guy mentioned neogaf because he is a member. I mean maybe proves they are in bed with Sony but the problem is what does that even mean? Are they paying off every member and if so I need to get in on this.

I did but was not sure what to make of it. So am holding off judgement till more is known. Has it been confirmed, officially, that this is what project beast was ? cause I saw the leaked footage to that and it looked awesome. So if this is officially that, then yeah, me want.

Is there game-play somewhere? Because all I saw was a CG trailer. Same reason I didn't get excited for the Platinum Games announcement or Phantom Dust.

Pics got leaked weeks ago of gameplay which looked identical to the zombie dogs/lynchers part of the trailer. Don't expect the full game to differ much from the cgi parts especially if its built only on PS4.

i think you missed the point, we all know its real time.. the problem is the difference between gameplay and cutscene is minimal. all you did in that playthrough was move the analog forward and the game let you take some token shots at the enemy which did nothing

Looked fun to me and I have been very critical of the game.

Maybe in the end, but I just looked at the Project Beast leaked video/shots, and it doesn't look anything like that trailer. I don't want to get down on it, but you are talking pretty big about it.

have you seen animated gifs? What they showed is very achievable.
