Halo isn't what it was and by the release of both PS4 could have a significant WW lead on Xbox One.
PS4 could have double the sales and it wouldn't outsell it. The Souls don't even sell that well so this assumption that this game will be a massive seller is not really based on anything real.
lol, come on man. Halo 5 will sell more than this game in one day than this sells in it's entire shelf life.
Alright so, Sony's conference. Started off strong, tanked, and then got better, but not as good as the start.
They need to take an ms approach imo.
The tv/media stuff should have been kept out. the indie portion should have been shrunken down.
They need to work on having a more concise presentation or start with the boring s***.

Halo isn't what it was and not only has the Souls game got a growing following in NA but its releasing in Japan as well where Halo is a joke.
Quick Google search told me Dark Souls 2 sold 1.2m copies in three weeks, while 3.1m copies of Halo 4 were sold on launch day.
and thats multiplatform sales for Dark souls no?

It's actually just 360 and PS3.
As of 5/8/2014 the original Dark Souls had sold over 2.4 mil copies.
And a collection of old Halo games is the #1 seller on Amazon. People will buy Halo. Microsoft will market the hell out of it and people will be there day 1.

I mean, Im in agreement that the game will be awesome. One of my most anticipated from all the games shown yesterday.
Well there was no huge decline in sales. It will still sell millions day 1. Will Bloodborne sell millions period? Who knows but even Uncharted doesn't outsell Halo so it is just silly to think this will.
Yes there was after initial sales and especially in the amount of players who quickly stop playing online. H5 will be no match for UC4 in sales or review scores.
There is always a decline after the initial surge. There was no huge decline in overall sales and even if only half the people that bought Halo 4 buy Halo 5 it will outsell Bloodborne.
Even though PS4 is about 3.5 million consoles ahead in sales (and likely further ahead in 2015), it'd be a tough bet to pit Beast Souls/Bloodborne against Halo 5. You have to believe a LOT of Xbox One owners are buying it.
With that said, PS4 multiplat sales are beasting and the console just keeps selling. Watch Dogs on PS4 sold about 2 million of the 4 million total stated by Ubisoft, going by UK sales ratios. The other 2 million was split between X1/360/PS3/PC.

They didn't hint anything about Microsoft policies this year - they only mentioned that free-to-play really is free to play on PSN - something you could play without PSPlus-subscribtion on Playstation.
So if you don't have money at the moment you can still play games, without spending money.
And that you could transfer your online GTA save-progress to PS4 from PS3 and 360.
This is not a bad thing, it's a good thing for you Xbox only owners - MS will see that, and think we need to do something to compete with this...
MS mentioned they were the best console to play on their conference - while Sony also did the same.. It's a press briefing, you should expect to see themselves trying to sound better than the competition.
They refferred to the biggest comunities for feedback on internet - Neogaf, Reddit and Twitter... No partnership..
NeoGAF are completely independent owned by private persons, without any affiliation to either of the publishers or console-makers.
Microsoft is actually the only game-company, who have somehow 'edited' NeoGAF-threads, they did that by sicking lawyers on Bishop with a financial lawsuit - and got him to delete a Mass Effect discussion thread where leaked information about the game, wich MS employees had posted before release.
The share feature-statistics should have taken 10 seconds, not a minute..
Youtube announcement were about right.
Powers introduction should have been done in 3 minutes - not however long it took.
But I have to admit that the talk about what the persons behind the series had done before, gave me more hope that it will be good, so I guess he did his job on selling the product to me.
Ratchet & Clank on theaters were good length.
Activision/Blizzard only publish like 3-4 really good franchises, and the remaining releases are lower-tier - so they're not having a E3 conference - but do stuff like this to be featured at the conferences.
They give MS a one week headstart on DLC on Call of Duty, and MS push that for what it's worth, and Activision get alot of PR in return.
They give Sony a bonus on Destiny and Sony pushes Destiny alot, with bundles and everything - and Activision get alot of PR in return.
Take 2/Rockstar isn't at E3 either, Sony put PS4 in their conference, because it's a big release and they had much better time than MS, when not beeing the opening press conference.
Yup, you are.. I were the exact opposite.
When I saw MS conference, they allways said exclusive DLC, or timed exclusive DLC after each trailer/game - but never mentioned anything more what it actually were.
While I tought Sony did a better job of actually detailing that - i.e. wich games would be console debu'ing or wich where exclusive.
And alot of the exclusive DLC-stuff were actually detailed with examples, i.e. Diablo 3 will have dungeons, with clickers, bloater, runners or stalkers basically dungeon with the monsters from The Last of us - wich is cool.
Immediate Battlefield - Hardline: Alpha access to Battlefield 4 owners from Live-screen right now - open beta invite date, etc. Destiny open beta invite date wich is only on Playstation.
That PS-owners would get to invite friends into co-op into Far Cry 4 without your friends even owning the game, also sounds great.
The three exclusive characthers on Disney Infinity. So as far as used car-salesmen go - I tought Sony sold what the 'used cars' features much better, than MS did with their used cars. :-/
As for the new reveals, I tought it were roughly equal.
New untitled Platinum games exclusive for MS, new untitled Suda 41 exclusive for Sony, were stuff that I didn't expect.
Sunset Overdrive, Halo remake gameplay - LBP3, The Order, Spark, Fable: Legends gameplay, is the gameplay-section I remember on the top of my head of the exclusives, nothing really mindblowing..
Fable Legend: Dungeon Master part seemed kind of cool - and how quickly the various short transitions from cutscene to gameplay in The Order is something I've not seen before to that degree.
The Order identity seems strange to me - sometimes it's like a shooter, and sometimes it's a cover-shooter, and now it seems like horror-game..
On the Trailer-reel, I think Bloodborne did a good job of setting atmosphere, I expect to see gameplay at TGS since supposedly some gameplay-footage of that leaked before E3.
Magicka and Dead Island were the coolest trailers, I think..
Whoever makes trailers for Dead Island are amazing, they hit it out of the ballpark for year aswell, that game didn't turn out like the trailer tough, but the game were pretty solid according to most who played it. :-/
The Infamous stand-alone DLC this fall, suffered due to little info - but I suspesct it is basically Fetch origin-stories, it seemed like a really interesting seqment reading clues about her in Infamous - Second Son, I hope/assume it's something along the quality/length of the Halooween DLC for Infamous 2. :-)
Microsoft did have much better pacing tough, since it were only about games - and shorter - but Sony had just as much interesting stuff.
Before this week my new console purchase was going to be an Xbox One. I love Gears of War 1 -3(let's not talk about Judgment). It is a system seller for me.
But Bloodborne being an exclusive for the PS4 just made me buy a Sony console. I may buy both consoles now.
