I guess it's out in U.S. now. I was playing under NZ time zone and just switched back to U.S. and it began updating. I guess day one patch?
A Tale Plague: Requiem is a true next-gen game and it shows in its demanding performance.
- Consoles run at 30fps in 60hz mode and 40fps in 120hz mode. The game also supports VRR.
- The Xbox Series X version is the most stable on consoles. PS5 has performance issues in some areas (especially in open spaces with rats).
- Xbox Series S has some clipping in shadows, textures, vegetation, draw distance and reflections.
- PS5 and Xbox Series X use very similar graphics settings.
- PC has more vegetation, better ambient occlusion, shadows and anisotropic filtering.
- Loading times are similar on all 4 platforms.
- The PC version will receive a ray-Tracing patch soon.
- A Tale Plague is one of the first games with DLSS support in the RTX40 series. With this technique, we can achieve over 160fps on average with an RTX4090 on Ultra.

Yup. Beautiful game and on Gamepass. My main gripe with the game is the FOV being so damn narrow.44.4 GB Day 1 Patch for PC
Downloaded on XSX, threw up at the 30fps, deleted. Downloaded on PC, much better.
I see in that video the Series X hitting 30.1fps at times where the pathetic PS5 stays at 30fps. That along with a whopping 1.10 seconds faster loading = game over for Sony.
People trying to play it at 30.0 FPS are vomiting. 30.1 FPS or no buy.
The .1 really made a difference for me.
I'm not far in, but this is easily the best looking game I've played on the X so far. The 30fps hasn't caused me motion sickness somfar like most of them usually do...maybe because it's slower paced. I still dislike the kid and the LOUD WHISPERING.
Some people on other forums are saying this is the best looking game on console they have seen. I haven't downloaded it myself.
I would post pics but the PC companion app seems to be broken and won't let me download my screenshots.
I would put it up there in the higher tier like HFW, Rift Apart, Demons Souls remake and The Last of Us part 1.
It is 30 fps though while the rest are 60. I would like to see a 60 fps mode of Requiem too.
From the screenshots in the forums I have seen and their comments, they are actually setting the bar even higher than those games. They are saying it looks even better than Forza Horizon 5, Flight Simulator 2020 and Gears 5 Hivebusters!
XSX > PS5 in this game, so... XSX wins best looking console game lol
Careful with quick resume. I left my game hidden in some long grass. Went back to the game to a dead screen.
Classic quick resume.
Anyway played a couple hours, definitely up there if not best graphics for console, animation, music, story all superb can't wait to get back into it.
Can't put the game down, and damn what a miserable life these 2 have.
