Directed by Robert Rodriguez. Produced by James Cameron and John Landau.

Cast includes Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connolly, and some chick with big ass eyes. O_O

Looks very Ghost in the Shell-esque.

Ghost in the Shell meets Pinocchio

*edit/add*

Kinda feels she’s more than just a robot or Ai, more like a mix between Android and cyborg. So I guess a dash of Detroit Become Human in there.

Battle Angel Alita..now there's a blast from the past! I'm secretly waiting for a proper Iria: Zeiram remake.

I'm curious if there is an expectation the Super Hero movies will lose steam after Infinity War and mining Anime / Manga for properties we'll see more of.

Marvel did try something to appeal towards the manga crowd with Big Hero 6

Excited to see this. Looks really good and hoping it encourages other studios to try more Mange/Anime adaptions.

Ghost in the Shell was okay; this looks far better. In both cases though, holding on to the PG-13 rating for a wider audience. Hopefully, if other Anime adaption role out, studios might be more confident in trying R - Rated films. I would love to see a proper HELLSING movie.

I think it looks fantastic. Battle Angel is my all time favorite anime so I'm probably biased.

Looking forward to this one. Saw the Ghost in the Shell remake not too long ago and really liked it too. Liking these anime live action adaptations so far.

Ghost in the Shell was pretty meh. This Alita looks good, though. I too am looking forward to it.

Ghost in the Shell was enjoyable. I feel it should have been rated R though.

GitS had parallels with Robocop. The original Robocop was crazy violent and bloody. I think for some reason that is a necessary element to a story about a cyborg or a person killed and recreated. The Robocop remake was also missing that, though I give them credit for their work around in the scene where all Muphy's outside robotics are removed to show him what's left.

I also think the death of the villain in any such story should be bloody as was the case with Clarence Bodicker.

This movie is tracking towards being the first major box office bomb of the year.

Unless it is saved internationally, especially by China.

How's that? It hasn't even hit official release date yet?

Unless either reviews are all bad enough to discourage people from buying tickets?
