Sonic all day. There are too many good ones to pick a favorite but I was always partial to Starlight Zone.

Super Mario for me, as Super Mario World is what got me into gaming, oh the music from that game.

 
It's a tough choice. But I think Mario's music fit the respective stages so well that you can visualize what stage the music is from just from listening to them.
 
Looks so awesome. I like how big the levels are now. Seems like at least 3x as big.

I wonder if they will have the traditional mini games
(and if so what kind) if you get enough coins at the end of the levels?

I'm a bit saddened that they felt the need to pixel art it. I wish they would maximize what one could do to 2d with the tech. I love to see a hand-drawn sonic ala cuphead. Could have tons of smooth animations and keep the 2d vibe.

Part of me feels the same. But I love the Genesis homage too.
 
Both are looking good. I'm excited for both. Sonic Forces might as well be called Generations 2 though. ( Not a bad thing).
