The "best game ever" video I posted yesterday is all from PS4 Pro, looked pretty solid to me.
That's good to know.

Some of the reviews I've read were trashing the PS4 version pretty bad for all of the technical issues. I watched a few review videos, and the game looked and ran pretty badly. Hoping it was their video capturing or maybe YT causing it. Just watching the choppiness gave me a headache.

Sigh, Got the game on Epic store, & I read I can only play on 10th at 17:00!!!

I pretty much stay away from all ps4 pro games unless they're exclusives, can only deal with so much noise.

Idk how many times I've posted this on reddit, but replacing the stock thermal paste with IC Diamond will completely solve the issue. I can leave mine in map/menu screens that always turned mine into hair dryer noise levels...barely audible now. I've left it sitting in photo mode of Ghost of Tsushima with every particle effect that you can think of for over 15 minutes and it barely makes any noise. I have to listen for the sound now to make sure the fan is still working much of the time.

The MTX, especially the map pack is pretty shady.

Set your region to New Zealand and play. I have the digital version of course.

I might have to do that with Cold War.
Doesn't this f*** up the digital purchase function if your credit card info shows other region than what the store is set to? Maybe buy before you change region?
Also, there's a finite number of changes to region per year no?

Was considering it on the XSX but my son got his copy on the PS so I won't double dip as I am not a fan of the series BUT this one looks kinda good.
Does it have monsters or is it just people you fight?

I already pre ordered it on PSN.

If it's anything like Odyssey, there's prob mythological creatures to fight (Odyssey had spinx, Minotaur, Cyclops etc), if I remember correctly the logic was in some cases that it was precursor made... But I might be wrong here.
Either way, it was side missions and not part of the main story which was more grounded (as much as aliens and Animus can be) in reality.

I imagine it's similar to the other ones and there may be mythical monster's to fight but the majority of the time is fighting people.

Really digging the game so far, great story and characters, combat feels similar but a bit more impact, the world is gorgeous. Just finished my first siege can't wait to jump back in.

Plays and looks nicely on the 1X can only imagine how good next gen would feel as it can feel a bit choppy especially when climbing and a bit of pop in too.

I bought it last night and fired it up on the One X. Wanted to play a bit to see how it looks on (now last gen).

I was impressed. Graphics are way better than Odessy- which I was just playing, lol. LOTs of screen tearing tho. I really liked what I played, and Male Eivor is pretty badass looking. I like his voice too.

I can't decide between the base game and one of the bundled versions with the season pass / additional content. What did everyone else buy?

I went with the base game option. These games are always loaded with content and most times I don't get around to the DLC. And I also have it in the back of my mind that I'm really just waiting for Cyberpunk and once that's released all other gaming stops.

People are ridiculous

Just the twitter outrage nutcases.

Anyway, I played for a while last night. Not really feeling the game. Too much time going like a headless chicken to clear gold icons.
too many map markers that populated between where you need to go, and where you are. Maybe it’s just me, and need to just focus on main missions.

I feel quest/open world design hasn't moved on since witcher 3 give it a boost. Hopefully, cyberpunk will change this.

Also, I am surprise you can switch on the fly between the bearded guy & the non-bearded guy.

The last Assassins Creed I played was Unity. The amount of markers on the map was a turn off for me. I couldn’t make head nor tail which markers meant what. I think I prefer a more linear path to my games. I will pick this up though as the next gen version looks great.

You can turn all that off now in the recent games. It’s so much more immersive.
