Another game with recommended specs of 3GB of VRAM. 980 Ti with it's 6GB of VRAM is calling my name. It's a shame the 780 Ti was handicapped by 3GB of VRAM because the horse power is still there....

By the time I get to this game I'll probably have recommended. Minimum is starting to catch up to my i7 930 and 670FTW.

Internet connection required? What is EA up too... :p

I wish for dummies like me, I wish they'd put the corresponding resolution next to the min/max/ultra settings.

I.e Recommended system requirements ( 1080P and lower)

Yeah, shame. I'm just shy of full Ultra. Looks like I'll get this on the Xbone and then wait ten years praying for the GOG release. Last thing I need is a server error in the middle of a boss fight.

No problem running, but this have to wait a bit longer.

If I can run Ryse on my PC (i3, 7870, 8gb ddr3) then I'm sure I can run this game on my PC.

dont be so sure, its horribly optimised. so much stuttering

when you see the graphics options you will know this was a half arsed job

well its clear why they put a 30fps limit in the backend.. cause thats what it has been optimised for. i am getting solid 30fps with everything max except shadow (medium) with the NVIDIA smoke feature turned on (yes its overdone but it still looks so cool)

Reading lots of bad things, awful port it seems. I guess I will pass on this and see if it ever gets fixed.I know Watch Dogs PC never got fully fixed.

Well, definitely the wrong decision to buy it on PC, failed verification on stream 2 times and started downloading the whole thing for each, not just the corrupted files.

I'll try again in a couple of weeks.Hopefully it will be OK by then.

I'm with you. It failed verification for me. And when I finally got it to load correctly it runs like ass. Should not have bought this day 1. But I bought it on good faith that the dev would have a decent showing.

ugh spoke too soon, getting so much stutter at locked 30fps, even in buildings. now i see pics of graphical effects missing on PC.. such a terrible port. my brother has it on PS4 so i just paid him half and gonna play on that from now on.

PC master race has failed me, after the amazing pc version of witcher 3 this is sad

I have the pc version and i haven't ran into issues as of yet. I'm constantly locked at 30fps with my gtx 980

So yeah... It was found out that Iron Galaxy worked on the port of this version (Which has 12 employees that worked on the port according to end game credits), and worked on the port for Batman Origins which had a bad launch as well. Not as worse as this one though.

Game is locked at 30 FPS, so you have to go into the .ini file to remove that FPS cap.

I'm fluctuating between 45-80 FPS, but when I drive the Batmobile, or fly fast through the sky, the FPS drops between the single digits to around 20 FPS. And you can't turn of that crappy motion blur in the .ini file because the game will crash.

All in all, it's a terrible port. I'm just gritting my teeth and I'm just enduring it.

I paid 36 bucks for it on GMG, so I am not as upset about it as others.

Bought the PS4 version in the meantime.

At least that's something I can sell if and when the PC version is up and running properly.

I'm thinking about doing the same, I really wanna play it. It just makes it hard to justify a 6o dollar console game when I can get the PC version for 23 dollars.

Played last night for a bit. Was playable until driving batmobile where the game froze for 10 seconds and then there were lots of stutters driving around.

I use MSI afterburner to overclock my 970 and after I quit the game I noticed vram and main ram usage were pegged at max. GPU power, temp and usage weren't even all that high. Witcher 3 maxed out at 1080p was only using 1.5G vram and maybe half my 8G of main RAM but the GPU was much more heavily utilized. Which is more typical I'd say.

I wonder if the 8G of unified memory on consoles is causing problems with PC ports. Skilled devs should know better of course but...

It isn't actually 8GB of unified memory on consoles though. It is split between GPU usage and OS usage. More like 3.5-4 gigs of memory devoted to the GPU.
PC ports that are horribly optimized will suffer not from memory constraints but from poor utilization of GPU power. Using a 'brute force' method is retardation in and of itself causing people with Titan X's and 980ti's to suffer performance problems.
