Third person melee kills suck though I've always loved the way BF does it.

To be fair MW guns feel better then most BF5 guns as well as recoil more, some BF5 guns feel like pea shooters too. Might be to do with the guns I use too.

That was a time to kill problem, not recoil. The shots to take someone down was far too long once they started messing with it. You'd put a rifle shot into someone's body and do like 22 damage. That means 5 body shots from a rifle like the M1. That was just dumb. It doesn't need to be like that as long as the damage is better. Recoil or no, 5 bullets from a rifle to kill is just broken. That was like something out of a zombie movie.

This is one of the main reasons people hated BF V. You could heal yourself and hardly ever die.

A good time to kill along with reasonable recoil will still work without making the guns feel like they did in BF V.

Forget about BFV, that was a major failure for many reasons and why many have returned to playing Battlefield 4. I've been playing BF4 in servers with Hardcore mode a lot lately and the more I play it the more it feels like a worthy successor to BF2. It isn't perfect, but it sure is challenging and adrenaline rushing when it only takes a one or a few good shots to put someone down.

But you know EA/Dice have taken Battlefield down the wrong path when they have to increase server capacity due to recent spikes in player activity in BF4. A game released 8 years ago.

People were wore out from classic military shooters so many didn't even give BFV a go.
It's actually a decent game and much better than BF1.

Playing BF4 is foolish because this new BF likely won't top it either.

I've tried going back to bf4 a few times but it's like 720p or something on consoles it's a blurry mess, even a bump to 1080p would be serviceable.

Lol. What a load of BS. BFV is flatout terrible. Easily the worst main BF game ever.

Hmm i think I remember that, was a pain in the ass with semi autos, M1 takes 3 body shots now which is fair, I guess I've never had a problem with the healing (then again I'm either close range or sniper) so if someone got away and healed I didn't get them enoigh, keeping in mind I can do the exact same thing and have gotten out of many hairy situations.

BF1 was the start of what led to the problems of BF V. Longer TTK, super easy med packs. Basically a super noob friendly game where people rarely died. It wasn't a terrible game at all, but they got positive feedback when they shouldn't have.

BF V launched and the time to kill was quite fast. It was fast and hectic, and sometimes felt like a meatgrinder. You really felt like you were an insigificant cog in a massive battle sometimes. They got negative feedback from that and all of a sudden every bullet stopped doing damage. There was massive range falloff too, so you could basically sit back and trade fire back and forth all day and barely kill anyone. I remember playing for a 30 minute round and ending up 15-4. Not that I was good, I just couldn't get killed or get enough damage on people to get kills.

Did they, though? I remember everybody praising the TTK. EA made the change based on their data not community feedback. Hence why they had to reverse it. Same as the Pacific TTK changes, nobody asked for it. Infact, the community were having a good time. Then EA wrecked it.

Neither am I, the more I see of it the less I like it. I think I will still get it solely for Portal maps.
Going by the Alpha footage it is a mixed bag. I read somewhere this is a several month old build, though. Hopefully that is true and the beta is more representative of the final game.

Still waiting to hear about Hazard Zone.

Not the real community, but remember "time to die" being a thing? People were getting shot by 2 people at once but thought they insta-died.

I'd never heard anyone say that before, but suddenly the devs even start using the phrase, and that was when the TTK went to poop.

That is a very different thing, though. And was a legitimate issue.

I was in the Technical play test, it was so awful I uninstalled it.

That would be hilarious because it's been said multiple times that they were ahead of development schedule. If that technical playtest is anything to go by then it being delayed wouldn't be surprising
