BF5 was a disaster. The maps are terrible in general. The balance is woeful. The ignorance is discpicable and ToW was absolute garbage.

BC3 isn't happening, and if it did, it would be in name only. BC was a bridge that is no longer needed.
BC2 had the best maps. LOVED the Vietnam expansion.

I'm sure at many points in the past I wanted them to go a different direction from COD, but now? Honestly just give us a BF3/4 remake. Future doesn't work. 2142 wasn't horrible, but it lacked something. People like real guns. I could see Vietnam working maybe. Hard to make those battles bigger and epic sometimes. You can take some liberties with the history and make it fun.

The jungle is a good place for the crazy back and forth conquest games.

2142 was pretty horrible. Only good thing I remember about that game was Titan Mode.

And if we are remaking something then remake the best, 1942 or BF2.

Wouldn't even get in my top 5. But if you only played BF on console then it makes more sense.
Bc2 was the first BF i played on console and I was really surprised by how fun it was. I have kinda been playing them on console (laziness) ever since. It's been years but I just felt that those maps were perfectly designed for what the game was capable of. Lot's of really fun spots for a firefight that were balanced and well designed. Always seemed to funnel the action into the right places. Obviously being able to do 64+ player matches changes things dramatically.

He doesn't like BC2.
🤷‍♂️

I'd prefer a BF2 and BF2 Special Forces remaster. BF: BC2 also. I didn't bother with BF5 and probably won't buy BF6 either. I am done with EA at this point.

I'm pretty excited to see what's coming, they made great improvements in sound design and to an extent the destruction over the years, I hope they have their A team working on next gen versions and blow us away.

And maybe cross play between PS5 and Series x? Probably dreaming.

Could you imagine BF2 remake with the modern destruction and sound. Gets me wet just thinking about it.
Exactly. Man, if EA can pull something off like that a la Capcom's RE2 remake, words couldn't possibly describe how happy I'd be.

I miss Bad Company. Destruction was so integral to the gameplay. I also like the character driven stories and humor. I'm not a fan of the "war stories" at all. At least not how they have handled them. Battlefield 1 was better than 2 in that regard, imo.

Maybe if they actually told real war stories and not "inspired by" war stories. I'd like to see something more cohesive.
