Eh, for a spin-off game it really doesn't matter what console you get it on. Which is why I got it on the XBOX One. If it was BF5, I would have gotten it on the PS4.
In sp and if 40+% lower res was used in the PS4 version that wouldn't be the case in sp or mp.
Who wants to play in 720p lol? As far as I am concerned that's a auto loss.
I've said some earlier in the thread, but someone was saying that the SP is akin to the mix of Far Cry and Condemned. The stealth option is actually much more viable than Far Cry 3 or 4 ever was, and the investigation is actually quite interesting. Gunplay might be the weakest part of it, but everything else makes up for that.
Gunplay is definitely the weakest aspect of the game
I've made it just about halfway through the SP game so far, and I think the stealth aspect is a bit too easy. I've completed almost every mission with all arrests, but it's nice to not have to shoot the sh!t outta everything all the time. The graphics are a mixed bag, a total mix of awesome and awesomely bad, and the driving portions are terrible.
Xbox is the shooter console. For that reason alone it's better on the One. Best controller and more friends to play with. Plus like Intelly said, better performance.
Yep I have to agree that Xbox is the shooter console. Always has been, really, going back to the 1st gen.
if you own both consoles the biggest choice should be what controller performs better for you. just started tonight on the Xbox one because I prefer the controller for first person shooters. Already broke 2.0kd and high spm. Game fits my play style with the fast pacing run and gun. Team DM 64 player mode is addicting as crack. Flat out love it!

if not, there is more to visuals than resolution. there is more to games than resolution. In the case of BF last gen for example is 24 players max.
is 720p acceptable? no, is it a deal breaker? no. i could have bought it on PS4 when i realized i just wasnt enjoying it on PC but the 900p wasnt enough for me to lose my progress and my EA Access discount.
oh and also last gen is 30fps, next gen is 60fps
i also said it was never a deal breaker. unacceptable means i will never be ok with games with 720p, but if the game is good its good, resolution will never make me not buy a game. ofcourse i want every game 1080p/60fps but thats not possible on these low/mid range PCs we call consoles.

This looks much better than I thought, graphically. I've said it before, but the reflections are making a big difference for me. The shaders look better too, Certainly how distant scenery is rendered is nicer even with the low rez.
I just reinstalled Battlefield 4. It needed a 3 gig patch, lol. Haven't played it in at least 6 months!
The game, despite being lower rez, still looks pretty damn good. I notice the lack of real reflections that this one looks to have.
Did they add in ambient occlusion via patch in BF4? I could have sworn it wasn't supposed to have AO on the X1 version. It's definitely there now. Anywho, I was enjoying some BF4 last night!
