Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for PS4 and Xbox One Not Ruled Out, "If Fans Want We'll Think" says 2K

Gearbox Software new instalment in Borderlands franchise, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is coming later this year to last-gen consoles i.e Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. In a recent interview to our friend at GRTV, Borderlands franchise Director, Matt Armstrong has stated that development team will think about Playstation 4 and Xbox One version of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, if and only if

If the fans really want it "we'll think about it" said Gearbox Software Matt Armstrong and 2K Australia's Tony Lawrence. In addition to this, Lawrence also talked about gameplay tweaks that are coming in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
"We took it further," said Lawrence. "We're on the moon and the moon allows us to fulfill some great promises of what you expect on the moon. You expect low gravity. You expect no atmosphere... it's pretty cold up there. "
"So yeah, why not have all of those things. And we've been able to do that in a way that really, really adds to the combat and makes it more exciting and more fun."
Watch the full video interview below. Tell us in the comment section below, how many of you want to see Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on Playstation 4 and Xbox One?. The game is scheduled to launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 14.

If fans want?...of course fans want. So stupid. That's why I wont be buying this game unless it comes to X1/PS4.

Yep should have been X1/PS4 day one. Last gen needs to die already.

So they think when the game was announced people were actually like, "Thank God this is only available on my 9 year old Xbox 360 and my 8 year old PS3, especially after I just spent $500 on an XBOX ONE?"

Nah, they though $$$160 million$$$ PS3/XB360 owners to sell the game to...

Gimped port confirmed then...

Gimped is not an issue, since it's going to be a port from PC anyways. What I'm wondering is, if the port comes out in October simultaneously, would it be playable; or, if it's delayed, would it still be relevant.

Hard to believe any well known games won't get a X1/PS4 edition. It's in development, trust me.

Then magically one day.... "Guess what fans? The game is coming to X1/PS4. How did we suddenly make next gen versions when we previously said we don't know? Uhhh.... It's magic"

They make good games, but they must be stupid if they think people wouldn't want this.

Well if its not playable, that's one way it's a gimped port to me.

they know they want its more like they dont want to chance on a new platform when they are millions more on the older system. They should of done this from day one.

Destiny will fill the void left from this latest Borderlands entry not making its way to the new consoles. I’d probably get it once they port the game over. But the question I have is will this game still be relevant to me especially after experiencing Destiny.

I wish Gearbox would give each class more then one ability. That would differentiate the core gunplay a bit more.

Most likely especially since they prob won't count PC sales and I don't see many last gen games selling.
Gameplay wise BL2 is better then Destiny and if this is as good or better then BL2 then its a Destiny killa as far as I am concerned.

I agree. I've just put 40 hours into Borderlands 2. Which I will likely do with pre sequel. One thing I like about Destiny though is that it's persistently online. I wish borderlands was the same.

But it was super repetitive(like the halo's b4 it) hopefully this fixes this in the full game and ends up better then the BL's.
I just have my doubts after playing the alpha and beta is all.

I could go on and on about the repetition of Halo, but that's for another thread.

While I am excited for Destiny, I won't get it because there are other games I'm more excited for. And I don't have a ps4 or x1. Don't plan on either anytime soon. My wii u is keeping me busy.
