So, the "leaks" starts right after MS (most likely) got permission to buy Activision? Okay lol
What skill/engagement based matchmaking does.
This guy is trying to find lobbies in the very old games and getting games much, much faster. These are super old games that just had the matchmaking fixed on Xbox and even with small populations, still find games faster than the current game (which has a ton of active players).
They are finally listening. To death for the run and gunners!Infinity Ward just wants people camping and holding angles.
The issue is they make too much money. Every game makes like $1billion in a week just from game sales. This was supposed to be just be dlc or an expansion to last years, this year was supposed to be the heir of year with only warzone being released….
Could we see off years going forward with them under the wing of Xbox, allowing the devs 4+ years of dev time, maybe letting other games to breath, like battlefield?
Xdefiant beta destroyed modern COD.It is EA Sports all over again. The competition mostly gets run off, then they just become a cash cow every year.
Dr Disrespect is working on a new extraction shooter game, and it looks comically bad. The movement and shooting are so janky and look 10 years old. It makes xDefiant look good.
Everyone hates COD, but there's nothing good enough to knock it off. This fall there will be plenty of games, but little on the multiplayer FPS front.
When is XDefiant coming out?Xdefiant beta destroyed modern COD.
Why buy s***ty MW3 2023 when you can play the fantastic old COD games.
Playing Blops 1 again is the most fun I have had in a shooter since shooters turned crap.

What do you mean "anything out of it." ??I'm hoping Xdefiant takes off. Supposedly the beta was really a beta, and the final game will have a lot more improvements, as opposed to COD which has a "beta" 2 weeks before launch.
I'm worried Xdefiant is going to have the Overwatch problem where you really need to put some time in and play competitive to get anything out of it.
I'm definitely going to give it a try. Honestly, I'm hoping for a "no-FPS games" fall (not counting things like Starfield).
One thing for sure, I'm pretty sure I'm skipping COD. Even if it isn't awful, there's too much else this fall.

Xdefiant in that way felt the sames as when I started playing Blops 1 again. I had good games, bad games but always fun because it never felt like the game was against me.As in, it isn't pick up and play casual kind of game. In Overwatch, you have to know the characters, know the best strats, etc. While you can jump into quickplay and just mess around, it gets boring quickly (and you'll lose pretty badly). If I had 10-20 hours per week to play Overwatch and keep up with everything, it would be fun. For a couple of hours though, it basically isn't worth it.
Xdefiant isn't exactly Overwatch, but I think it is geared more towards competitive play. COD has a lot of faults, but it is a good "pick up and play" game.

Yeah, quick play - zero SBMM. Ranked - SBMM. Exactly how it should be.Supposedly there is and will be zero SBMM in quickplay on Xdefiant. Everything is connection based, so the game is never working against you like it does in COD. Most games have at least light skill even in quickplay, even if it isn't as strong and broken as COD. Supposedly even the pre-MW2019 COD games had slight SBMM.
Honestly I'm very interested to see how this plays out. People have been screaming for no SBMM for a long time now, but will the masses like it, or will the casuals complain? Are some gamers going to realize they aren't nearly as good as they think they are?
Personally, I think there's going to be some remorse going back to a totally connection based system for anyone who's not good. I think there can be a happy medium with loose skill matching that is still nothing like COD is doing to manipulate people. Maybe it will take us back to the "good old days".
I remember COD4 being my first game on a controller and my gosh, I was hot garbage. Like 1-2 kills a match trash. I didn't scream for help, instead I got better. By the time MW2 (the old one) hit, I was actually positive, and up to a 1.5 K/D. Nothing great, but it felt good to make progress.
