Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone - shutting down September

This game I swear. Thank the gods I have an external, because if I was still rocking my 500GB HD on the Xbox One I wouldn't be able to install any other games
I know right. There is nothing in the update to make it 7GB either. Just crazy.

Got back into this for about a week or so once season 2 started, but have fallen off again. It's enjoyable, it's fun, but it's just not sustainable.

Played for a few hours last night, didn't have a single game with a negative KD ratio. Wondering if they actually got rid of SBBM or just toned it down enough. Had a great time.

They've definitely tweaked it. It is still there, but less severe. My recent stats usually show me going positive now, although I still lose more games than I win. I still seem to have some teammates who are terrible.

I still land in lobbies against human aim bots now and then, but it seems less frequent for sure. I'm definitely seeing a lot more players who are more casual and actually missing shots.

Hopefully it's not just level XP, and includes BattlePass too. This current system is a GRIND
Pretty sure it is just level Xp.

I'm not finding the BP leveling to be too bad.It is a bit too inconsistent between modes, which is a bit weierd since how well you do seems to have very little impact on how much you get.

What modes do you recommend to level up? I'm only level 7, but feel like the BP XP doesn't change all that much between games.

That's my problem. I definitely have the most fun playing TDM on the small to medium sized maps, but that's terrible for XP. Getting 10 kills and 9 deaths on a bigger map with no objectives just isn't putting any dent in that battle pass.

When there is 2XP I usually put a few hours into whatever small map 24/7 playlist is running, although now they added Rust to that, and I hate Rust worse than Shipment. When the last season ended they had 24/7 Shipment which was nuts, but great for XP with 2XP. I could spend an hour in Shipment with 2XP and make more progress than I could in weeks of other modes.

You definitely get more in Dom. You get more points for killing people near flags, so especially on the smaller maps you get this all the time.

Play the small map 24/7 playlist. You get a lot of XP for that. We rarely play regular modes other than Dom and HQ. Mostly just play the small map 24/7 playlists.

I feel like XP isn't the problem, it's BattlePass XP. Like it doesn't translate 1:1 with leveling XP and I don't know how it's even measured.

I'm pretty sure it is measured by time, with maybe a little bit of performance thrown on top.

Did they do something to the sound? Sounds like something that would come out of a 1970s car AM radio.

I can barely hear enemy foot steps anymore. In death cams I hear my footsteps a mile away, but not the enemies.

Yeah it is hard to describe, but some things are now super loud. Someone tosses a stun nowhere near me and I almost jump it is so loud.

I wasn't sure if it was the Xbox or the game update, but I figured the game. Plus the sound has no bass, and has this metal like echo, like someone recorded the gunshots in somewhere with a bad echo.

I'm glad if they turn down the footsteps, but playing this is so different now. I was totally distracted my first couple of games.

Might have to play about with audio modes. It is def the game, though.

It's definitely the game. I've been playing with my tv speakers set to like "3" when I normally have them at around 15 for other games. Scared for my ears when my headset comes tomorrow.

Started playing around with the MP5 and shotgun last night on Shipment to get some challenges done, and dang shotguns are awesome on this map! Especially in the middle. I know everyone knows that already, but it's a lot different when you're the one pwning

I'd much rather play Shipment over Rust, even though I think it is a terrible map. Shipment is great for leveling up SMGs and shotguns for sure. I rarely use those on any other map.

Shotgun works great on Rust. Just stay to the centre of the map.

I'd rather drag my balls across broken glass and then Tbag a cup of vinegar over playing Shipment.

My problem with Rust is the wide open spaces in all the corners. I am just constantly spawn pinned in a corner and eventually killstreaks come out and it gets ugly. I'll have to try and just be more aggressive. Need to level up the Striker45 (UMP).

Did 2XP start this weekend?

The trick is to keep moving. Because you're a sitting duck if you think you can hold a corner. Also, double tap that sprint button, gets you out of there quick if you're in a tight spot.

Keep your eyes open for the dude on top of the map too, I usually shoot rockets at them.

That is the key on all the small maps, Rust, Vacant, Shoothouse, even Hackney Yard and Gun Runner.

That's probably my problem. I have become so passive when playing now. SBMM has just beat me down so much. I haven't struggled this much on a console shooter since I first switched from PC to controller way back when. In MW2 I learned to rush and not give a f and I did so much better. Now I find myself peeking corners and playing scared.

f*** that , that is boreville.

Build an MP5 with 10mm rounds , fast ADS, stippled grip tape, slight of hand. Stay away from the middle of the map as much as possible. And run like Forest Gump.
