Can You Trust Journalists

Yep I'm sure they edit all the videos by themselves and watch every single one....
LOL No but it's obviously not a slight if something is forgotten there, IGN is run by morons and I don't just mean the two I mentioned previously.

Once again you post a bunch of childish nonsense, give a specific example. Stop with the name calling and all of that crap, if you want to keep talking about fanboy nonsense nobody bleeds green more than you do so you have no leg to stand on in that kind of discussion.

Who reviews games worse on xbox than PlayStation? Halo Infinite got universal praise because 343 finally made a Halo game that felt good to play while they ignored ALL of the stuff that was missing from the campaign like an actual story, variety in locations, variety in missions etc. What other AAA content have they released? FH5 got good reviews, Flight Sim got good reviews. They praise GP as having a lot of value all the time so I don't get why you think they are treated poorly.

Who cares what people on social media say? both companies have fans, both probably pay people in some way either by cash or access. You think Colton Eastwood should be taken seriously? I don't, the guy is a lying sack of crap and there are PlayStation equivalents I am sure.
Sony… Bro…

People misrepresent what bias is. Bias isn't absolute, but more nuanced. Bias is a tendency, not a hard and fast rule. Saying, "they don't always praise one side, so there's no bias!" is dishonest.

It can be coverage that is a little more positive one way over the other. Game journalists may very well end up giving Starfield tons of critical acclaim. Bias is a long way from being a total fanboy. Bias can just be a slant. Maybe try a little harder to find the negative against one, and more positive in the other.

I own a PS5 and I've talked positively about some PS exclusives. So I guess I have no bias then? Of course I do. I always lean team green. I'm not some maniac fanboy, I just have a bias. It doesn't mean I can't give out criticism to one side and praise to the other, but I'll always come at it from a non-fair angle. I can tell you how I loved Ghost of Tsushima, but I'll probably be a little more positive about Starfield.

I mentioned a few pages ago how Xbox rebranding Gold was reported by IGN as the "death" of Gold (until they edited it). The article wasn't wrong, but the title was very misleading. Not that a clickbait title is anything out of the ordinary, but it is something that doesn't happen as much to the other side. The fact that they edited it shows they realize they did something wrong.

But the Xbox part is true
No it isn't.

The billions spent pipeline doesn't magically appear from thin air just because they spent money, or has everybody forgot that it takes years to make games? Oh right, It is Xbox.

Not to mention Xbox actually kept to their word and honoured previous agreements. That would have netted them several extra exclusives. But lets forget that because Xbox.

Funny how he wrote this literally a week before that pipeline starts to take off, though. Gotta get those hit pieces in while hyping Sony's POS hardware, and it is a POS.

I blame the algorithm, I get both sides on x and feedly, sometimes Reddit.

I've never understood the console war nonsense. As long as people only like what I like I really don't care about anything else.

The irony is that strong competition is ultimately best for everyone. MS jumping in the market all those years ago is the best thing to happen to gaming in a long time. It pushes them both to be better.

Just look at next gen consoles. With inflation, everything is going up, except next gen consoles were still very reasonably priced at $500, and are both already seeing sales. That simply doesn't happen if there's only one console on the shelves.

The Sony show was good if you don’t care about first party. I enjoyed it.
