all of this started when CBOAT posted info about leaked source 2.0 info (yesterday)

I know CBOAT was a neogaf guy constantly claiming insider news... after said stuff was actually announced so what he has 2 accounts on GAF?

Cboat is known as posting many X1 rumor but on more negative side of thing ( in the last 1 year )

Well lets say one of the accounts was a sock puppet account, and the other account was a mod. Then the sock puppet account gets on starts stuff with peon posters, then used his mod account to ban people when the argument went against him. That would be extra lame.

Most large forums take care of that by rotating their mods from time to time.

The timing is also interesting. That other company is in deep financial straits ATM, and could close its doors at any minute Sega style. Shenanigans like that could take every ones mind off of the basically spiraling out of control situation, and give the mods one last hurrah in their tree house before they have a fandom forum dedicated to a now dead brand.
 
To translate what pure is trying to say is cboat is some special video game industry insider who reports his findings/rumors to gaf. Most of the reports have always been negative things about Microsoft. I guess it was recently discovered that a moderator by the name of EKIM on gaf is the person pretending to portray himself has cobalt. So the moral of the story is there was never no secret Game industry insider named CBAOT it was all made up by a moderator by the name of EKIM from what I have gathered.. I could be wrong though.

i am not accusing that directly, but the real evidence is EKIM=CBOAT

i think that they try to coverup the whole mess
and delete the reference of EKIM and CBOAT same dropbox link

we know CBOAT recent track record is posting a lot of negaive X1 news
all very near at some important date/announcement of X1,
the tipster to cboat is probably from MS competitor atm (but the real idea is , cboat identity is exposed)

i am posted abou ekim=cboat, about moderator or not i am not bring that info (but the reality is cboat is very very close to neogaf moderator, even the 1st post content is edited by moderator not by CBOAT)

the idea is about cboat identity exposed
and he is not industry insider nor microsoft employee

Or Ekim could have given the leak to cboat to reveal.

Ekim is pro Xbox One btw.
 
That would be pretty wild if true.

I doubt it's true though, IIRC ekim was an insider of sorts though I don't know his record.

I do recall him doing tons of defending the Xbone though throughout the year, as evidenced by this lovely photo with his pal who is a big Xbox fan:

A couple things to consider:

-ekim's posting style could be to throw off the scent, if anyone were to attempt to make the connection.
-it could be that he is one of the developers or friends with a developer and leaks info to cboat

I'd say the second is the most likely.

The misterxmedia theory that cboat is a "modbot" of sorts is an interesting angle, but with zero evidence to back it up.

He is definitely not a mod. I'm not sure if he was at one point or another, but he definitely hasn't been a mod within the past 10 months that I've taken notice of him around there.
