Isn't Homefront in their hands now? It's due 2016 so, unless they plan to show a new IP, I'd say Homefront will be their demo.
Yes you're right. Crytek developed from 2011 to 2014 then Deep Silver took the reigns.I thought their British arm and Homefront got sold off to Deep Silver(?)
Crysis 1 was OK -if you could get it to run well-. Crysis 2 was a tad better but the game story falls apart near the end and the alien baddies become repetitive as hell. I didn't even finished Crysis 3 as it was jus more of the same.
Whatever you're showing,Crytek, show something new.
Haven't they decided to focus on free 2 play games now? I remember something about staff not getting paid last year and some asshat statement from the CEO where he talked about repositioning the company.
Yep, just like Epic, Crytek are going F2P. Which means now they can make mediocre games for little money and contribute mediocrity to a market brimming with mediocrity.
So that will probably be this announcement so.
Why poor Kinect? It's being used by tens of millions of gamers every day for frictionless identity management, voice commands, best-in-class music and dance games, and more. For most of my entertainment, I use Kinect more than my controller. I use Kinect every time I use my living room... I don't always pick up a controller. Kinect is a huge advancement in frictionless entertainment, and continues to excel there.
I think he is counting kinect 1 as well? Not sure how many were sold, but I love mineTens of millions? There isn't tens of millions of xbox one owners that even own kinect lol

I think it's fair to say that Kinect didn't end up being a great input mechanism for actual gameplay (though I'd argue there's still untapped potential there), but it's absolutely the biggest advancement in frictionless entertainment this decade. It's seriously just a vastly superior experience to have a living room with it. I can start watching TV with nothing more than a single voice-command... and my whole entertainment center is powered up, along with seamless sign-in (based on accurate facial recognition).
Nothing other than Xbox One offers that, and once you have it - you never want to go back. While I get it made sense to release a sku without it, anyone without a Kinect is really missing out. The experience really is an order of magnitude nicer. It's a generational gap, in terms of user experience when compared to a system without it.
Once you play the PS4, you never want to go back. The masses have spoken. I've been a big Xbox supporter and still love the brand but let's face the facts here. Everything Microsoft did to capture the hardcore market last generation, they dropped the ball on this gen. They went away from what made them successful. Kind of like Sony did with the PS3, only in that scenario you knew they were going to deliver in the end because they had the talented studios to do so. The PS3 was always a gamer's console first. The Xbox One started out focused on entertainment with games coming second. That's why Microsoft is in second.
