Well, the weapons degrade faster at 60fps. That explains why pc gamers were complaining about weapons breaking and consolers were wondering why.
Also, as I mentioned in my lengthy complaint one or two pages back, it depends on how long the weapon "touches" an enemy. A two-handed power attack with a great club will kill the weapon in a few hits. It is also affected by friendly phantoms in co-op. I learned to love the rings that increased weapon durability.
Oh, and weapons repair themselves at bonfires automatically....if you make it that far without it breaking.
(note that I have only played the original pc version of Dark Souls II)
Is there a way to see what the current state of my weapon is?
I have a love/hate thing with this game, but hey...don't we all? Lol. I killed the giant boss pretty easily, but the knight guy is definitely giving me a hard time. I try to dodge his attacks as much as i can but i make one mistake, he attacks 3 times....dead.
