Think Sony will be ok

Yup and I feel bad for the Crackdown 3 team. I am pretty sure they are all gamers and people just like us and put their heart and soul into the games.

Yeah, it's a tough business. I'm glad I didn't go into it. Seems really grueling and cutthroat. I'd be burned out by the time I was 40, maybe earlier.

Gamers can be so picky and demanding. Sometimes I think it's better to be a filthy casual. Just enjoy games without measuring and dissecting and judging them so much.

From what I've seen on Twitch, the game doesn't appear that bad. Seems like a decent story and gameplay.

Bought the game because all the people I follow enjoyed it minus the obvious problems.

Btw, I'm glad I didn't watch the Playstation livestream. That chat got hit hard with spoilers from a certain movie.

Yeah, sadly social media is only making things worse. People have direct access to many of the devs and send them some very heartless and cruel messages.

Yeah, it's strange how aggressive and hostile people can be, when they're anonymous behind a computer screen. They forget (or don't care, I guess) that the person they're talking to on the other end is a human being. All they care about is expressing their outrage in a strong as form as possible, because that's what gets the attention. I thought Jaron Lanier's discussion of this (in 10 Arguments for Deleting Your Social Media Accounts) was pretty good. He's got a chapter in there called "Social Media is Making You Into an As$hole," where he talks about "as$hole amplification technology." Basically, he talks about how the technology of social media reinforces the worst parts of us -- anger, outrage, hate, division, blame, mob/pack mentality, groupthink, fear, paranoia, stereotypes, etc.

Sad that when PlayStation puts out turds, the sdf like hyprocrits act like xbotz and defend the turd.

It’s like that MBG guy on YouTube. Defended Microsoft’s s*** for years, then goes full on Sony and trying to spin this after hyping it up before reviews came out.

I may still like it though. I’ll rent it then buy it cheap if I enjoy it. MW likes it.

All of the defense forces from either side are just foolish. It is ok to not like a game or system, but do it respectfully.

I'm glad I don't care about reviews. This game is great so far. I'm a slow player, only play an hour or so of a game at a time, take days off etc, so any worries of it being repetitive means nothing to me. No glitches so far, game looks and runs amazing and handles well.

Any difficulty options?

Found one glitch so far. Was first time fueling at safe house and put the can down, but it wasn't where I wanted it, so I just kicked it a bit and it fell through the ground lol. Just reloaded a recent save in case it didn't come back.

5(and lower)/10 on sites I rely on.

When you compile the list of reviews this isn't a turd it's just not anything special. I haven't played it enough yet to make my own determination but I can tell you that so far I'm enjoying what I'm playing, not as much or in the same way I did God of War, Horizon ZD or Spider-Man but I'm still enjoying it. Pretty much every time you come into this thread it's just to trash this game, hell you made a point to come in and say you didn't care about this but wanted WWZ and that game has a lower average review score than Days Gone.

WWZ is a more complete game and lower priced :)
I skipped it due to it being a exclusive to Epic Game Store.

Sony guys will buy and defend this game.
Its happening in this thread and @era LOL

There really is no need to "defend" a game that's averaging in the 70% range, that's still considered good it's just not great or amazing. It isn't as polished as Sony's other AAA first party games that have come out recently but it also was being done by a smaller studio ( it's about a hundred or so fewer employees than Santa Monica, Naughty Dog or Guerilla) that has never worked on a game of this scale before. Hopefully they get another shot, I'm sure this was a great learning experience for them and MAYBE they can give the decima engine a look, UE4 seems to be a pain in the butt for a lot of studios.

It's not getting rated high from reputable sites but these never heard of sites gave it 9's which helped it's average(that's still not a brag worthy 7)

I honestly could care less about a studio with a mega power company like Sony behind them still making a generic dud.

You actually are going to mention UE4 as one of the excuses...spoken like a true SDF LOL! Hilarious man!

Jinca what was the last non indy Sony made PS4 exclusive to get flak from you? Just wondering....

One thing I will say is that this is a phenominal looking Unreal Engine 4 game, but I guess that is to be expected with 7 years time to develop and also being a AAA title and first party studio.

Watch the DF video, they comment on UE4 having issues for games like this so it's not something I'm pulling out of my ass. Plus Decima is a proven engine for 3rd person open world games and they'd likely be able to get a lot of input from GG when they need help.

As far as games that Sony makes that I haven't liked? They've done a very good job over the last couple of years so out of the ones I've purchased I've liked most of them as far as I can remember. Going back I think KZ:SF was alright but not all that good, didn't care for Shadow of the colossus and never bothered finishing the last guardian because I got bored with it, same for Bloodborne and I think PSVR is a waste of time and money, does that make you happy? lol. I love how when you can't actually have a logical discussion you come up with garbage like that, it's classic Val.

BTW there are just as many no name sites giving it 5's and 6's as there are giving it 8's and 9's so your argument doesn't hold up, hell out of the 26 reviews that scored it under seven I've only heard of six of them.

It does look good but the texture streaming some seem to be having issues with is likely related to UE4. I play on a Pro so it's not much of an issue for me, not much more than it is in any other game.
