Bring it on! Like I've said before, I loved the first Dead Island, though rough around the edges it was a blast.
I still have the first one on my 360. I have yet to play it. Might make it my next one after I finish Saints Row IV.
Techland are doing Dying Light... I've never heard of the company doing Dead island 2. No idea if Techland sold the IP, or if this is a publishing thing, or what. Either way, with the series creators not doing it, this is definitely a 'wait and see' game.

Dead Island was definitely rough around the edges, but it just might be the most fun I have ever had with a video game. For some reason I just can't get enough of that game. Hell I still can't stop playing DI and Riptide to this day. Maybe it was because the combat was so satisfying? Idk, but I think it was the most underated game this last gen.
Not sure why they outsourced it though. It's kinda weird how they outsourced this then did Dying Light which looks exactly like what you would imagine DI 2 to be. I'm sure I will get both games day one regardless of how things turn out. I just hope they can keep intact what made the original so damn endearing.

I am so surprised that Spec Ops developer is making Dead Island 2. That means it's on the radar.
Wow. I keep up with gaming pretty well. But I never heard of Warhound! I just saw an old 2007 video of it. Ugh.
Never played it, but it looked cool. Have they made anything at all similar to Dead Island before? At least game play wise anyway.

Nah before that they made an eponymous title on Xbox called Yager, which, in German, is an air fighter. As the title suggest it's an arcade flight action shooter. They are making a successor stuff on that game called Dreadnought, and this one. So it's very surprising.
Yikes, that is very surprising indeed. I really hope they don't screw it up.
Riptide was treated as an expansion of the first game. In fact Riptide was initially intended to be released as a huge DLC for the first game, but it just started getting too big so they made it into a full retail release at a discounted price. This new one is indeed Dead Island 2.

Can I get in on that? I have a friend that plays with me a lot but it's really hard to get a good four person co op session going. s*** gets crazy when you get a group of four going in that game.

Agree. Dying Light took the genre to such a high level I can't see them catching up. It's like when NBA Live got smoked by NBA 2K to the point they just cancelled the franchise.
