Official Thread Dead Island 2 - 21st April 2023

I'm having fun but this is harder than the first but no penalties for dying and enemies health doesn't reset which negates that. Enemies spawn all over the place and out of nowhere which is frustrating when scavenging or re-exploring areas I was just in.

A few times I've had zombies spawn literally right in front of me, heck one of the times it was an invisible wall until the zombie spawned in, real weird.

Apart from that, what a comeback for this game, happy that dambuster studios pretty much nailed it, looks good, runs great, so much fun, missions are interesting and varied as are the side missions, lost and found missions are a good distraction and reading their last moments was cool.

Clocked in at 35 hours, will be going back to finish missions that popped up after main story.

That's what I stated previously. The respawning of enemies and loot out of thin air ruins the immersion for me. I clear one room and return for one minute and you have a few zombies on their knees eating a dead body. That's lame.

If I remember right the original game was the same way. That’s why I didn’t do much exploring just tried to stay heading towards whatever mission I was on.

Yeah, game is pretty great imo.
DLC with extra areas would suit this game, I'd buy it.

I feel like the game play and UI is better in the old build. Looks more fun too. I'm happy with what we got, but they should consider this stuff for Dead Island 3 or whatever expansion/DLC they plan on.

I finally finished the main quest of this game. After being unsure of it, I'm glad I stuck with it cause the game is fun to play and it looks decent.

I agree. Played the 2nd game on a gamepass whim because I bounced off the first game hard. I definitely like this one a bit more.
