After looking at the comparsions, the remake seems pretty unncessary. AT times you don't even notice which are the OG, & which remake.
Low effort other then visual upgarde, which isn't that mindbowming anyway. At least with the RE remakes, they get rid of tank control, mak it true 3D as well as have added gameplay areas.
They could have, you know just made a sequel...
Does the pendemic drain creative juice out of game developers?
Gonna save my time and money on other original games.
This Remake is a Day 1 purchase for me. I really liked this series and there hasn't been anything like it since. I was hoping The Callisto Protocol would be a successor to Dead Space but it looks like it fell a bit short or rather seems to have fallen short of my expectations.
Plus, I have an OLED now and dark games such as this really shine with that kind of display. I've recently jumped back into Metro Exodus and the dark lighting and bright highlights from light sources really makes things pop.
Can't wait to start dismembering limbs later this month.

Have you decided which system you're buying it on, or going to wait for reviews / DF?
I figured I'd be safe with the PS5 version. I already played this game before so I don't need no stinking reviews.
I'll be very surprised/disappointed if this game doesn't offer a performance mode with 60fps.
