Destiny Alpha Access

I will give the beta a trial but from the hour or so and several missions I just didn't care for it. I've been playing Borderlands 2 lately so maybe I'm just burnt out on that type of gameplay.

Started trying out the hunter. Wish I would have gotten him to level 8 instead of the titan. The hunter's super is fantastic. That flaming pistol wrecks. If I get the game, a hunter is what I will be.

that'll change once you get good weapons and gear. this game is odd when it comes to that. your stuff is s*** or it's good it does not seem to just have ok gear and weapons it goes from s*** to good stuff. once you got the good stuff you'll drop things much easer I know I did.

I also learned last night you can upgrade your weapons. so highlight them and you can upgrade them you can make them more powerful or make them have less recoil. Seems you have to use the same gun for a bit for it to be upgradable.
Been upgrading them and I have all greens weapon and gear wise. I guess I just suck but I love the game:)

im the opposite. got my hunter to level 8, and rather enjoyed it, but then i kept getting obliteratedthe titan's super, so i've switched up. also the auto-rifles seem to be the best primary, which hunters do not appear to have access to

All I have used on my hunter is an auto rifle.

Enjoyed what I played which is only a couple hours worth. I don't like investing too much time in s*** like this because I lose all the progress. Looking forward to the beta though to see if they open up another area.

I've definitely been thinking about the game quite a bit. VERY addictive and something I can feel pulling me back in. I can't say that about too many games.

I don't own a PS4, have an X1, but damn did I enjoy watching the Destiny feeds on Twitch. Actually wish I did have one, just so I could have played in the Alpha this weekend!! This game is the bees knees!!!

I've heard on Twitch that any class can use any weapon...

One of the things I liked about this game is how you can still interact with other players who you are not actively in a party with. During one of my treks to a mission a random event started with a drop ship hovering about and releasing a group of enemies. At first, I was fending off the attack by myself but within a few moments other players joined in. After we repelled the attack we saluted each other for the effort, leapt on our vehicles and sped off in different directions. I really hope Bungie keeps the random events fun and challenging just to add more to do.

I don’t think I’ll be playing anymore of the Alpha, I want it to be fresh when it launches. I tried all three classes and to be honest don’t know which I’ll start with when the game launched because all three were a lot of fun.

Yeah. There are no class based weapons.

yeah, you guys are right. thing is, i played most of the weekend with my hunter class and did not see an autorifle, not even at the gun shop! o_O kinda sucky because thats the weapon i keep getting destroyed with lol..

you know I've may have changed my mind about this game a bit. Playing the devils lair today for fun. this game does not have much skill and depth involved in playing it. The game just sends waves and waves of bad guys at ya and you shot and they just f***ing all run at you like crazy mofos.

It pretty much then just boils down to shot everything you see and hope at least one guy stays alive till you spawn again so you can finish the mission. The game is kind of cheap too. I mean some dude shots you from across the level your shield is then gone and then 20 guys jump ya and you die.

Both bosses do insane dmg in devils lair when they hit you f*** both the cannon attacks they do that can instant kill you. even if you're moving and hell flying around every shot seems to hit your dumb ass too.

Enemy boss fire I found was easy to avoid as long as you use the environment. And that rush of enemies towards the end of Devils' Lair can be dealt with if you use the double jump to reach the scaffolding on the back wall. It not only gives you some distance from those enemies who rush you but will also give you cover allowing your shields to recharge. As long as the team stays relatively close to each other reviving them shouldn't be a problem. I admit there isn't much skill involved in this game but there is a bit of strategy like when you use your "super" or knowing when to fight and when to hide.

I have yet to see these questions answered anywhere but I may have overlooked but how many worlds/levels will the game have? How big is each level? It there a lot of exploration to do?

Hells yeah. I can't wait for the beta next month so I can try it too.

I paid my preorder off at the beginning of the year and was kinda worried, though after watching the twitch streams and reading people's impressions I know the games gonna rock.
