My point is you keep saying "many here" when in relation to the number of members it should read "a vocal minority". Maybe pm the 1/2 dozen people who fit the bill with your gotcha moment as the rest of us never participated from the start in these follies.
And we don't really need you pointing out who is a hater in every thread Qbert. Honestly every once in a while it's fine, but between you pointing out the alleged Xboners and Mcmasters crying every time someone isn't pro-Xbox this place has almost as much whining about fanboyism as it does fanboyism.
Thats crap Bunz! My responses arent products of any fanboyism at all. I'm speaking from personal experience and research of the overall opinion of both consoles and make my own decision from there. If you dont agree, thats fine with me. Your enititled to do so. But dont label me as a fanboy because I have a general positive view of the XO, Windows 8 etc. Thats my opinion and Im entitled to that as well. Just put me on ignore. I'll be just fine. Believe me.

No, I don't agree at all. You freak out like a child throwing a tantrum over the dumbest s***. Example: the Titanfall exclusivity thread. Last time I really bothered even conversing with you, what a waste of time. I mostly read here as my posting time is more limited.. and I come into a lot of threads where someone merely doesn't have a positive opinion and you are jumping on them or making some sarcastic pointless remark like their opinion isn't valid.
Qbert : consolewarz is much worse, but I do read a whole lot of threads where you aren't just pointing it out but doing it over many large posts.. I used to be guilty of the same, not trying to bash you for it.. but that was at TXB and it was a much more "wild" place.. we have a new forum.. better moderation,etc.. let's all just attempt to post our opinions and not get so caught up in whether someone is a fanboy.

Yeah we got it the first time buddy. You don't like these threads, stay away from them. It's that simple.
If a mod feels like these threads are not needed then let the mod handle it. The discussion is open for a reason. Some people like reading the differences when they are going to fork out 60 bucks on a game or "X" amount of money on a console, even if the differences are minor.
As long as there are no name calling, personal threats, or back and forth attacks then I see no problem...
I didn't name call or threaten so you should see no problem but you also give me the yadda yadda stay away line. So can I participate adding my view or not?
Oh, and I do like these threads because I own both systems and am interested in information that helps me choose which version to purchase. When I come in here and it's all about "gotchas" relating back to last gen dealings of a couple fanboys then I felt like adding my opinion.

This is true. But some of us always maintained that it didn't matter much.
I think in general, outside of Ryse I haven't been blown away by any of these games visually. Killzone has its moments, but hides a lot of details in foggy environments or presents its best moments in FMV.
I think I'll be upgrading my PC sooner than I thought I would be.
That's a little harsh. I think most of the forum members are decent, intelligent, well-meaning people. "Hypocrite and liar" are terms I'd reserve for something like a preacher condemning homosexuality but secretly practicing it. A lot of what you see here is what Oblong made reference to, the sort of unconscious biases that we all have -- seeing things in line with pre-conceived ideas/beliefs, interpreting things along lines that support our beliefs, dismissing evidence that runs contrary to our beliefs. That is just human nature. We're not perfectly rational and consistent beings. That goes for me and you, too.
Not that we don't have some, um, "outliers" here on the forum. You're going to get that in any large group of people. But saying the site is "oozing with hypocrites and liars" is a bit much.

Who in particular are you talking about that said it mattered when the 360 had the advantage, but is now saying it doesn't matter now that the playstation had the advantage?

Does it matter "who"? These types of comparison threads were always posted over at TXB and were accepted as acceptable threads. It didn't annoy anyone when they were posted.
I have the PS4 version, and I found that the load times aren't all that bad, but that is mostly because low rez textures are loaded first before loading the textures in at a full, pristine resolution. Battlefield is the same as this from what I played.
Sure it matters. Your claim of the site being full of "hypocrites and liars" depends on demonstrating that the people who are now minimizing the importance of graphical differences are the same people who, years earlier, said those differences were important (when they ran in Xbox's favor). It might be completely different people -- in which case it isn't hypocrisy or dishonesty at all.

I take your overall point -- when the differences ran in Xbox's favor, the site was full of people high-fiving each other over those differences. Now, the site is full of people saying the differences are unimportant and imperceptible. Whether it's the same people or not, who knows. Even if it is, I don't find that something worthy of condemnation. We're all pretty good at unconsciously filtering information in line with pre-existing beliefs, preferences, etc. I think the number of people who are consciously, intentionally being dishonest and hypocritical is pretty small.
My only real bone of contention here is that some people are acting like these types of threads shouldn't be posted. I think it's all good, as long as people are civil with each other.
Oh, I agree with that. I think a lot of people were interested, prior to launch, which of the consoles might have the advantage when it came to multiplatform titles. There was a ton of argument based on mere speculation, and people kept saying, "Let's just wait and see." Now we have some actual data, some actual facts. That's good.
I do think the discussions get kind of circular and repetitive. It's like watching a tennis match -- back and forth, back and forth, people making the same points, over and over. Maybe if there was some sexy grunting from female athletes, I'd find it more interesting, but instead I'm stuck watching McMasters vs. Valliance...
Yep... Because pointing it out does nothing productive. It derails interesting threads. It's there, it's always been there, and while you tend to focus on the Xbox fans who are acting hypocritical, you're own bias is preventing you from pointing out the OBVIOUS hypocrisy from your own kind... And that's what makes your quest to point out hypocrites even more meaningless, and frankly just distracting.
That much I agree with.
I think Sony fans have every right to be excited when their console has a graphical edge, and I think it's great for X1 fans to know where the minor graphical differences are... But I also think there's one very tragic reality that comes from all of these comparisons... The comparisons are always focused on graphics, and rarely on what matters more; the actual experience.
I was generally far happier with X360 cross plats not because of the mild graphical advantage, but because of the better experience 360 provided. The minor graphical differences were meaningless... It was the better online experience, better controller, better platform features, etc. which I prefered about the 360 versions.
I'd rather see comparisons which talk about the experience. Tell me about the snap feature, or the MP matchmaking experience... Tell me how Kinect works and whether or not PS4's version supports voice with its cam. Tell me about the experience, and how THAT differs... That's what I care about.
