DriveClub Rumoured Release Date

Why would racing game fans be upset? As for Driveclub, I think summer is expected at this point.

Second delay.

Or at least that is what the internet tells me, apparently it was supposed to be ready for Japan PS4 launch but was pushed back again.
 
This seems like Sony is worried about their AAA 2014 exclusives now. Looks like all we're getting this year is Second Son, DriveClub, and The Order.
 
I am in dire need of new games. I just hope the game is up to standards when it comes out. Pff devs have gotten so lazy, ever since games can be patched on consoles more and more half assed games are released for quick cash and we get a stupid patch of a problem they knew about before release. Seriously can anyone remenber a games released in recent years that worked totally perfect from day 1 ?
 
Wasn't this supposed to be a launch game ? If it now needs till June, why was it ever slated for launch.

I dunno. I suppose the same reason watchdogs was supposed to be a launch game and got pushed back. They decided they wanted to do so much more with it
 
Naughty will release something about Uncharted for sure and Sony will probably release a healthy dose of great looking mult plats for. Truth of it, Im honestly curious to see what Sony has planned for new IP's. They have a really talented stable of developers under their umbrella. I predicted that we would see alot of "definitive versions" of titles with this generation. Although I didnt think it would mean last gen games being ported with next gen visuals. But you gotta admit though, Sony has a bunch of titles just aching to be ported: Uncharted 1, 2, 3, God of War, TLoU etc.

Definitive versions are an untapped market this gen. Im a fan!

How can it be a second delay when they never announced a release date?

I remember the same thing with PS3 the 1st year wasn't it? The best time to jump in is when the 1st AAA bundle hits or @ 1st price drop by then it should have a good library available.
 
I'm ready for a Syphon Filter to be announced at E3. Otherwise I'm still playing GT6 so I can wait a bit on this game.

I had it written in the post you quoted.

It was listed as a launch title for the Japanese launch, then apparently that changed at some point last week.

Oh man... That's the one game that sends goosebumps down my spine whenever i hear or read about it.

Right next to mgs, this is also my all time favorite series. It needs a huge budget reboot.

I'm fine with waiting but also a little disappointed in the current state of "next gen" racers.

From what I saw at PAX last August this game looked nothing like any of the GIFs floating around. I wonder if this was dev'd on either over-shot dev kits or dev kits with the wrong balance of hardware or something?

For me, ff there's one genre that has decreased in interest faster than any other over the years is racing games. Even if the games had absolutely 100% photo realistic visuals, I think I'd get bored after a week.
