They look very different to me. It helps if you click on the image to get the full-sized version.

However, it's Dynasty Warriors 8....

Wow that hardly looks any better lol. What horrible devs.
Well, it is just a port. But you can't really judge the game from those screens give they are just too low res to view any real detail.

You can't see the difference in texture detail on her gloves and armor, or the lighting differences?

The pics are pretty similar, but the PS4 one looks better as the colours are brighter so you can see more textures and design. The hair is less aliased in the PS4 pic too. It's Dynasty Warriors,. so don't expect big leaps in visuals!

I can easily see the difference in those 2 pics. Not only the character model but the background as well.

There is no lighting difference. Just a slightly different color. Such things happen when you switch from NVIDIA to AMD for your horsepower. The only actually graphical difference you would be barely lucky enough to spot in such a small image are the textures, but only just barely.

His eye sight must be poor, I can see shadows on her face from her hair thats not in the PS3 pic, the feather well you can tell it is a feather in the PS4 pic. The snow on the ground is also much better.

Yeah, the differences were immediately apparent to me. I'm not sure why people aren't seeing it. Oh well.

It's just Dynasty Warriors 8, though, so I'm not sure what any of this proves anyhow... enough said.

Most people consider shadows part of lighting. Light and shadow...
I don't know who these 'most people' are, but they obviously got it wrong. Lighting is lighting, and post process self-shadows is shadowing and shading from what I've always known. It threw me off. But a little shadow on her cheek is the only real thing to stand out in this lighting thing you are talking about.. The image is just too poorly compressed and too low of a resolution to judge much. They look like they were grabs from a YouTube video that got shrunk down to nothing. It hurts the eyes a bit.

Wait are looking at that pic on a phone or a monitor? the only way I can see someone not seeing much of a difference is if they are looking at it on a really small screen, otherwise it's obvious from the start.

PS4 shot looks like a DOA character with the changes in shadowing and specular mapping on the eyes and mouth.

ps4 version looks a lot better.... to bad it will probably be the same sh1tty game.

One has shadows, and the other doesn't.

DW8 was actually a lot better than previous DW games. Koei seems to have realized they have to add new features. I'll still pick up a DW game every now and again, but I have a tendency to skip a few in between... Unless it's a DW: Gundam game. I will buy every f*cking one of those.

Speaking of Dynasty Warriors, I'm surprised no one mentioned the Zelda / DW hybrid, Hyrule Warriors.

The saddest thing is that there is no reason the PS3 version should look any different than the PS4 one? This is more like PS2 versus PS3. What the hell is up with this developer?

I've never played Dynasty Warriors. Closest thing to it I've played is Kingdom Under Fire. That said, I'm interested in Hyrule Warriors and how it turns out.
