Dynasty Warriors 8: PS3 vs. PS4

I've never played Dynasty Warriors. Closest thing to it I've played is Kingdom Under Fire. That said, I'm interested in Hyrule Warriors and how it turns out.

Where the f*** is Kingdom Under Fire II? I wanna play that game so bad.

You and me both, dude. Last I heard, it's now in development for PS4 as well. And it's in closed beta right now.

Whew. The game in a very long development cycle. I assume cause of development on X1, Ps4 and PC simultaneously. Hopefully it's worth it.

As long as it doesn't end up like Circle of Doom, I'll be happy. God that game was awful.

I know people that enjoyed Circle of Doom only because they never played the originals. lol

Kindom Under Fire II is a game changer (if done properly). The mix of genres are insane. I think God of War should try something similar. It would breath new life into the series and get people excited again. The gameplay would be insanely deep and the boss fights would EPIC. They could still have traditional platforming and puzzles that are known in God of War.

I can't believe they made already 8 of these games. There are serious big fans for this series?

Hahahaha. Eight of them. There are waaaay more than that. There are the main entries in the DW series, which is usually followed by DW Xtreme Legends (for each game), then DW Empires (again, one of these usually follows up each numbered entry in the series)... Then you have the off-shoots like Samurai Warriors, Musou Warriors, and the One Piece (2 games), Fist of the North Star (2 games) and Gundam (4 games) tie-in series. Not to mention the upcoming Legend of Zelda spin-off, Hyrule Warriors. To say Koei likes to focus on this type of game is an understatement.

But yes, there are a lot of fans. There must be, as Koei gains sustenance almost exclusively from this franchise. I only play one of the numbered entries every now and again. I did play 8, and it was much better than previous games in the series, but I much prefer the spin-offs like DW Gundam and One Piece Pirate Warriors.

Yep. I buy every Empires(Dynasty and Samurai) game when it is released. Koei caters to their very devoted fans with each release.

I played the ones on the original xbox and still enjoyed Circle of Doom personally. It was a fun co-op hack and slash. I eventually stopped because it just lacks a ton of content, but if they made more than handful of dungeons, maybe have a overall explorable world to find portals and what not to said dungeons, I think it could've been way better. Granted it's nothing like the previous installments. Not even close to the quality, but it was a fun game and pretty damn marvelous looking at the time.

I think the armor and cloth look better overall on PS4, but I kind of dig the hair and skin more on the PS3 version personally.
