Seriously. This is a very low class potshot. You were posting decently until these. ....

I disagree.

I suck at some games, and it makes me like those games less. No shame in it, and I didn't say he definitely sucked. All I said is that maybe he does suck at it, and maybe that's why he's not a fan. The truth is, I sucked in the beginning, and until I got good (which takes time and investment), I didn't enjoy it much either. I don't play games to lose 10 times in a.row. That's not fun. Games aren't very fun for those who suck at them.

I can admit that... Can't others?

The facts are clear. Sales, user contention, average player levels, average time invested - Xbox Live has all of that tracked, and the number for Titanfall are amazing.

Therefore, it doesn't matter to me what you think. No feelings hurt. The fact is, among Titanfall gamers, a higher volume than others find it has legs, and continue to invest time in it (myself included).

The numbers are clear. It's retaining a ton of users.

So again, you're in the minority among Titanfall gamers. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.
Never hurt my feelings lol you went on the defensive just because I don't care for the game. I'm done derailing the thread with this discussion.

Not really. I didn't get defensive, I just clarified the point; your opinion isn't the predominant one, based on the metrics I've seen.

I said it was "my"opinion so it didn't need any clarification.lol

Titanfall is the best MP experience in years, and easily a must buy for competitive gamers. I've sunk WAY more hours into it than all the other X1 exclusives.

In terms of value and fun-factor, Titanfall is probably the single best exclusive on either console. Phenomenal gameplay, very addictive, and (again) easily the best MP experience this Gen.

No, it's not. It got stale rather quickly. Many people got bored of it after buying it. Of course, different strokes for different folks but this is one of those games where the game didn't live up to its hype IMO although it's rare that any game does unless it's really that good.

Some people don't like McDonalds either, but that doesn't stop it from being the most popular Fast Food place.

Personal preference doesn't stop something from being objectively successful. That's my point, which I felt warranted clarification... Since you responded to my post with a contradictory opinion.

Simply put, your opinion is irrelevant to the facts regarding my post... So you're welcome to post irrelevant opinions, but then I don't see the problem with me clarifying as such. Do you?

The numbers would suggest otherwise... Plus, I don't agree with your opinion.

Seek help!lol

Yes. But can you fully enjoy them knowing that they're being outsold 2:1? That means your console is only half as good.

Yep.

360 and/or PS3 owners during the first half of last gen should have felt super depressed that a system with less core games and worse specs did much better (Wii). I mean, who buys a game console based on game library and/or system features? It's all about dem salez mayne.

And boy, this thread. Console warz.

I'm curious, what are the numbers? Last I read, EA hasn't announced any detailed sales numbers. No announcements suggest there aren't any record breaking sales for Titanfall. That's fine, you don't agree. The good thing about opinions is that everyone has one.

Sales, play-time, consumer retention, and player levels suggest you're in the minority among Titanfall gamers.

Maybe you just suck? I don't have much fun when I suck either, but now I'm pretty good. It just takes practice, because unlike many other MP games, it requires incredible skill, and intelligent usage of burn cards, weapons, etc. - depending on gametype, level, etc.

Titanfall is the most noob friendly fps there is.I love it.

Name only goes so far though. Look at the $600 PS3. That was a factor. A major one. Yes they caught up. But after numerous price drops and meaningful exclusive content came around.

If Microsoft had the upper hand hardware wise, NA would be much more interesting imo. Without the power and third party advantage, Microsoft will have to do things out of their comfort zone to succeed. Like creating new compelling franchises.

PS3 was always more expensive, and they started beating out 360 WW just a couple of years into it's life.
Those couple of years of such a higher price, and even with price drop still being more expensive, AND having the worse versions of games would have killed the PS3 had it been released by another company.

Seriously, can anyone tell me how the PS3 beat out 360 when the price was always more and had the worse versions of games?
How about you tell me what you think was the primary reason for the PS3 beating out the 360?

Dude, seriously....."among Titanfall gamers"..... lol

That's like saying, if you don't like Two Worlds, you are in the minority among Two Worlds gamers.

And it doesn't take "incredible skill" to play well, it takes incredible skill to play well and really enjoy it. The game is crazy easy.

Except....TF isn't the most popular game. CoD is. The next beast up is BF4.

Qbert I agree with what you're saying. But at the price they launched at Sony was in serious trouble.

If you want me to say that Playstation is more popular then I will. There's no argument there. All I'm saying is there is a limit to loyalty.

The first couple of years Sony was in very bad shape. Also third party games almost became virtually identical after a couple of years.

No other console in the history of gaming ever survived @$600

Of course they were in trouble, never sai they weren't . I'm also not looking for someone to say that they're "more" popular, if that's what you got, you missed what I'm saying. My point was, it's the PS brand first and foremost that pushed them to sell better.

It didn't take them long to realize their mistake. Similar to Microsoft this generation.

When consoles are sitting on the shelves. These companies can be humbled real fast.

I agree. But after they adjusted to what the market was telling them.

I give Sony a ton of credit. They not only weathered the storm of a $600 console, but also built momentum that hasn't stopped yet. Hell even Vita is on an upswing.

The Atari 2600, Intelivision, and SNES all survived and were either equal to, or more expensive than the PS3 when they launched (adjusted for inflation of course).

The SNES was a lot cheaper comparatively.

I would say it is more MS hate than Sony love.

I don't buy that. The 360 was last gens obvious favorite console, which was made obvious by software sales. PS3 was the punching bag.
If ps3 was released by a new comer, it would have flopped.

The 360 should have destroyed the PS3, but in the long term it didn't. The 360 ran games better, was cheaper and was released a year earlier. The PS struggled early on, but eventually caught up. There's really no reason for that except brand loyalty (or hate).

You said it, brand loyalty. That's the primary reason. Brand/name.

Honestly, other than a few exclusives, I can't see why else the PS3 did as well as it did. The 360 was better in almost every way.

And Japan and the fact Sony still supported it properly while MS focused on Kinect games.

Considering Titanfall is still pretty popular and people are still playing it I'd say its doing pretty damned good. Why are people drawing parallels between it and CoD? CoD didnt start off a world wide success either. In time, sure things changed tremendously. But it wasnt always so. Titanfall will increase in popularity with each release, but for what its done so far Its a huge success. Comparing it to CoD right now is just r******d a best and just shows a tinge of desperation to prove menial agendas. JMHO...

PS3's turning point was the $300 slim model, a critical mass of exclusive games, multiplats getting closer in performance, and better PR.

I expect something similar with Xbox One's sales recovery. Sales will get better, no need to panic.
