Eurogamer didn't go easy on Knack. They gave Killzone a 7

lol I didn't read it either just went straight to the score. The title of their review is funny though. "Small things come in big packages" and then.... 5.9. I will read it at some point to see what's so bad about it but I'm still interested in playing it at some point.
 
I feel with Contrast they were expecting more than what they got and critiqued it more harshly as a result.
 
I do not get why anyone is expecting good things from KZ besides visuals, the series has always been meh imo. I am surprised Sony is keeping it going, they should can that series.

Yes kill that series that sells well.

A few sites are leaving scores out be cause they haven't yet tried all the modes because of how Sony is letting them play at the event.
 
Maybe I was expecting to much but these reviews of the PS4 and the games have made care less about getting a PS4 at launch. Kind of glad I didn't pre order one.

I understand what you are saying but they are launch games. It's unrealistic in my opinion to expect masterpieces right out the gate. And despite the scores, I'd bet most of these games are pretty fun and enjoyable.

From the way it reads, I'd swear they went into the game and thought they were getting Braid or Bastion, you know indie darlings, and ended up with an average game. Their disappointment with getting an average game seems to have jaded them slightly, at least that's how I read it.
 
Hmmm...read the Polygon PS4 review. Why is sony so against organization options/filters ? it is so annoying. Nice to read the Controller reports. Seems polygon and I are of equal ind regarding the DS3. So the improvements to DS4 should be a good thing for me too.

Was strange reading the online stuff. Just a list of stuff that is really old news and nothing but catch up with that other online service. Still... is nice to see most of it has come. The game recording seems like a mess with its highly compressed and muddy appearance. Also curious why it took Polygon 15 minutes to download a small 300mb.


Seems a solid launch product though ( once you get the update:txbrolleyes: ) and hopefully sony move quickly and add better organization options to the entire OS/Online stuff.
 
Is Polygon usually pretty harsh on reviews? Just a quick glance at recent reviews I'm seeing a lot in the 7 range. To be honest... I like that. Too often we're seeing 9's across the board for games. Without being a normal reader of their reviews I can't really compare. A 5 for them might be a 7 or 8 to IGN.
