I am not gonna get my hopes up for Fallout 4. Not after all those bulls*** fake teases last year. On top of that there was Tod Howard or was it Pete Hines?....he said no news on a new Fallout anytime soon. How was F3 announced for the first time? Wasn't it during the Videogame awards, like Skyrim was?

Is Fallout 3 still worth playing on the 360 at this point? I've tried to start it a couple of times or should I just wait for FO4?

Just give me Fallout 4 and it's all over. Is there any other game more in demand right now?

I think it'll still be worth playing for years and years to come.

I think it's a great RPG. One of my top 5 on the 360. You have to give it a good 100 hours, though -- 50 minimum -- so be prepared for a long haul.

It's a time suck, those 100 hrs will be burnt through before you know it.

Yup, between Xbox 360 (vanilla), PS3 (GOTY) and PC I've sunk no less than 1200 hours into Fallout 3.
Even more in New Vegas (X360 and PC).

The worst is when you think, I'll play for a bit after supper, next time you look at the clock and realize you have to be at work in a few hrs...

Been there, done that repeatedly.

When Fallout 4 releases I'll be taking some vacation days. if it releases on a tuesday I'll be taking tues-friday off.

Completely agree. So easy to get lost in those games. I have no doubt Fallout 4 will be the same and hopefully even better!

Dang! You guys love that game.

That is amazing.

Fallout is one of the few franchises I can truly get lost in. I can just start playing after dinner then before i know it I'm thinking about cooking breakfast. The funny thing is that I can't say the same for the TES games. Sure i've put a couple hundred hours into Oblivion and Skyrim, but that's a couple hundred hours combined. I just can't seem to lose myself in them like I can Fallout.

Currently playing Fallout 1 on PC when I'm not playing Dark Souls II. As soon as I finish Fallout 1 I'll play through Fallout 2, then mod and play through Fallout 3 again and finally Fallout New Vegas (still need to do a for myself play-through). Hopefully by that time we'll be looking at Fallout 4 being released.

fallout 3 was announced July 10, 2004. by press release
so was oblivion on by press release on 09/ 25/2004 not a particular gaming event
skyrim was different

Since were feeling nostalgic:
Any of you guys/gals accidentally repair a basic weapon with the special version and not realize it at first and then have to go back to a prior save and loss hrs worth of play time???? This guy right here did. I must have lost at least 10 hrs in Fallout 3.

Definitely worth playing still. Even better if you you can find the game of the year edition.
Ok, just picked up Fallout 3 GOTY. It was $14.99 at Target. It was the last copy.

I'll start playing it after I finish Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut. I just started it.

Looking forward to FO3 and I'm going to Washington D.C. in July. Maybe I should play it first!

Awesome, you'll have a great time with FO3. Play it before, you'll appreciate the sights all that much more :p

The recent Fallout games were fantastic. Aside from the bug-fiesta that the initial release of NV turned out to be, but I blame Obsidian for that. I'd be down for a next-gen Fallout game for sure. My only real complaint is that they had these huuuuuuge landscapes full of nothing. So the same issue I had with the Elder Scrolls games.

You are about to lose a few hundred hours of your life.

Ok, I've put off Deus Ex and starting Fallout 3 tonight. DC will be a lot more interesting if I play it now.
