Too realistic. Doesn't like the insults and hostility Ciri gets from bad guys. Bad guys should be nice to her, buy her flowers, and give her complements on her dress. How dare they call her a slut and raise a sword against her. The depiction of gender inequality of the Dark Ages and Medieval times should be censored. But let's not complain about the constant extreme hostility Gerald of Rivia receives and turn a blind eye to the thousandth time Gerald was called a "goatf***er" by the local authorities. It may just be me, but it was empowering to be insulted left and right and then tear them a new one while they begged for forgiveness. But that is just me.

We all know that in the real world men never yell those things. It is all sunshine and flowers and in the medieval days it was even more so.

I thought her comment about the word "c.u.nt" was rather funny. She associated it with one way of use(Disparaging remark toward woman), yet totally ignored the other(Disparaging remark toward someone you don't like). Funny how she never mentions that Geralt gets called a "c.u.nt" all the damn time too.

What a bunch of nonsense, why would anyone with an ounce of sense complain about how fictional women are treated in a fictional medieval setting? There are plenty of strong women in this game too but let's not focus on that, let's focus on some NPC chatter that means nothing to the story. This type of thing is exactly the reason I started calling women d!cks instead of b!tches, they can't call me sexist that way lol.

I've never even heard of her until this thread. All she's doing is looking for attention, and by posting her idiotic trash she's getting it.

Have you been living under a gamer-rock lately? This chick has had a lot of attention, death threats, and even managed to get on TV.

One of the good points Jinca points out is that its irrelevant to the story... So why include it?

I know that it makes it gritty and sordid... But eh.

It my be irrelevant to the main story, but it is not irrelevant to the world the game is set in. For example, the C.unt word usage is based around the hate & fear of those not normal, Witchers, sorceresses, etc. Hell, it even extends to simple Herbalists.

As for violence against woman, All the scenes I have seen with such things in it, are done to paint the picture of the protagonist, which is pretty much always male. Should men be up in arms about how men are always portrayed as violent, sadistic a-holes? How about the secondary quest where Geralt is sexually used to further the gains of the female character?

As usual, the Feminist is only seeing what she wants to see, and not taking things in the scope they were created.

As a guy I feel upset how guys are sexualise in the game. Notice so many guys are topless & wearing short shorts.

Menace, that's pretty much what I was going to say in response but you said it for me :) In all seriousness though this is the kind of thing that makes many people not take real issues facing women seriously. There are plenty of legitimate things for her to complain about when it comes to real life but when it comes to a fantasy game? it just makes her seem less credible/serious and more sensationalist.

I don't know. Yes, there are many real-life issues and events that she could focus on, but I think her idea is more about how relative games are to the mind-set of a huge chunk of people. The issue isn't so much the medium she chose, it is the manner in which she goes about things. In this case, she is just being ignorant. She is ignoring the why, and painting her own picture. She also leaves out important information that shows these things are not as one sided as she makes out.

Yeah, seems like she missed the mark on this one.

I seem to remember gamers give this women mad money to do her BS women on gaming thing I'm guessing just cause she was a women who would talk about game then she turned around and bashes gaming and gamers now hate her. am I remembering wrong? Anyway she will say whatever BS to keep her name out there and make money more power to her.

she went for a topic that many women don't talk about. it's a more closed flied as it were so she can make cash talking her BS and doing interviews where you won't have many others to compete against for interview time and in turn cash flow.

What I especially don't get is why she complains about the real-world effects of video games on culture, and then dislikes video games addressing real-world problems because "you put realism in a fantasy game."

Some more famous quotes. I just wished I could find the one where she liked a tweet/facebook comic depicting the murder of Cliff Bleszinski. As much as she crying about death threats, it is complete hypocrisy to approve someone else' death threats.

Edit: I found the other one. A 1000-word fan fiction she posted to her tumblr blog endorsing the death of Randy Pitchford of Gearbox starring Anita Sarkeesian herself as the murderer and terrorist. Reminds me a lot of the extremist terrorists who slaughtered the French comic artist for his drawing.

but she fights with her top open, that negates all else.
Did you know that it used to be a crime if a man went topless? Back in the day, it was public indecency for a man to show their bare chests. They even had to wear full-body swimsuits with shorts or a skirt to cover their upper legs. It wasn't until protests that men gained the liberty to show their chest. Women should have this liberty too full on. It's just boobs after all. It's not as if a man's chest is not attractive to women. There is a campaign going to give women equal rights to bare chests.

And here are some examples of back-in-the-day swimsuit attires for men.

What should the characters attempting to kill you say, that wouldn't be offensive to someone?

"hey, you."

"gosh"

"!"

"ARRGHH!!!"

"......"

Easily offended culture will find anything to be offended by.

They shouldn't ever try to kill women. Don't you get it? All women survive!

It's not illegal in my state, but sadly women rarely ever go topless anyway.

I absolutely hate self righteous hypocrites like this, that sit on Twitter all day and look for ways to get offended.

They wait for the smallest of offenses (ie: Jeremy Renner on black widow) or look to take things out of context, and then viciously pounce on the victim without any regard for balance or truth.

Hopefully one day she'll stop making money off of this and actually have to get a job that forces her to actually contribute to society.

Looks more like cross dressers trying to hide in plain sight.

In other breaking news I still don't like feminists.
