Only one server for the first beta? urgh. This whole thing is gonna crash so hard.
 
Maybe they want to see how they can manage a crash on PS4 servers lol ? Anyways 4 more hours to go, i can't wait soooo tired of playing BF4 ... what's ur PSN Jaydee?

I saw this and fell in love Again lol ... If this makes me feel anything like playing FF12 ohh lord don't let me get addicted ... i remenber leaving my 360 in the dust for 3 weeks to totally dig into it, so much memories .... damn i just can't wait

 
I think I'll give this a shot. For anyone who has played the PS3 version, how does it play with the gamepad?

Before I was just using the PS3 controller keyboard attachment thing. It isn't required unless you want to chat quickly, which, I assume, you'll want to.

Since PS4 has party chat however, that may not be as important.

Sweet ... let's all hop in a PC later. I will be able to hear u guys just fine but i'll need to get a better mic (tomorrow). This one is totally f***ed.

I may end up getting a wireless keyboard. I wear a headset when I'm playing, and my house currently doesn't have a "tv room," since I have to finish the second floor. (long story.) My wife doesn't care for me chatting in an open living room, especially since it confuses our dog.
 
On PS3 it played great. You had to change some targeting filters however, so that when you were in combat you wouldn't be targeting worthless stuff. Especially since I was tank and I had to be pulling mobs off of my teammates and quickly switch targets in order to do so.

The game has no built in voice support, so communication is done through text, which is faster with a keyboard. So it's good to have one.

Yeah I've already got a wireless keyboard I use for my PC, are they now compatible with the PS4?
 
Pff beta ain't startin soon is it ?!

Phase 1 of the Playstation 4 beta test will start on Feb 22, 2013 at 0:00 am. (PST) That's like 09:00 AM in the morning here ... damn can anyone double check that time pls.

BTW year mistake is not by me lol.
 
me and Aizen are on beta server 1. So you guys try and join that.

Totally take by surprise how much i like this game. I finally found an MMO i am going to keep playing ... lol feels like playing 12 all over again but at a much larger scale ..... WOOT indeed
 
The framerate is pretty poor with traveling the city with other players in it. They need to optimize this before the actual release. It dips to 10-15fps pretty often at times.
 
I'll be back on in a few hours. But yeah they do have to optimize that city framerate. Everything else is Great !

Aizen i didn't realize your character had that one white eye.
 
Seems like it is staying pretty steady for me in Ul' Dah and a ton of people are running around. I'm very impressed with how good it looks and how well it is running.
 
Just started playing FFXIV on PC the other night. Runs like sh!t on my PC. I can barely get 30fps in windowed mode and it drops to 10fps if i try and full screen.. I just bought this PC last August. Guess i should have built it myself or something!

So i bought a GTX 650 graphics card that will be here Monday. I have an AMD Radeon 6670 right now. Now i just hope i can change the card without messing anything up. I've never done it before.
 
Def has some frame rate drops but nothing I can't handle. I enjoy the game but not sure after playing the PC version when it released for a while if I want to buy the game again on console and start paying the sub again.
 
Not bashing the game or anything but I wanted to give this a try out on PS4 a few days ago, but good god it takes you a while to gain control of your character after creation. Must have been at least 15 minutes because I couldn't skip the cut scenes.
 
Game is Soooo Awesome .... Jaydee i saw u come online for a bit yesterday but u weren't showing online In-game ... Anyways since we needed a Healer yesterday i went ahead and lvl my char to lvl 10 as a conjurer (healer)
 
Aizen that was my bro. He was just making a character. And yeah we need a healer. I want to get to 15 today so we can start doing some dungeons
