He knew from the beginning , it's too bad he was not able to experience this remake in its entirety

I'm 14 hours in and at Under Junon about to start all the side quests and collect all world intel :D

The mini card game Queen's Blood in Rebirth is actually pretty fun. Could even be expanded into a smaller indie title if Square wanted to. I'm having a blast just exploring everything in Chapter 2 right now, learning the game's combat system and gear / character upgrades while unlocking all the quests and objectives.
Like that Witcher card game or fable game? There’s another game that I feel eventually got its own card spinoff game, forgetting it atm

Square Enix is talking about not having to worry about porting or anything like that and developing for the PS5 only which enabled them to complete the second part in just 4 years. They don't have to worry about porting to PC until after the console release.
So they’re glad to not have to work in the ps4 version and its constraints? I’m glad they’re staggering the release for pc, as all games should, cos that’s just too much work/variables.

Does remake work on PCs with HDDs or are SSDs required?

Yes. Focusing on one current gen platform released all the shackles as per dev 😁

Finally have some time to play some more Rebirth. Going to start doing the world Intel and quests here at Under Junon before moving forward with the story 😁

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the second part in the ongoing remake trilogy, was released just last month to universal acclaim and became the highest-rated game in the series in over two decades. But creating something so monstrously huge and densely packed was obviously pretty arduous, as multiple developers have now confirmed.

"As a creator, it was very fun to work on, but the workload was also pretty tough," lead user interface artist Hsueh Huei Liao says on Square Enix's developer roundup. "Even so, the UI team worked hard and without compromise on each and every one of them, to such a high standard that each one is almost like its own standalone game."

Environment director Takako Miyake echoed similar sentiments, calling development "tough," but emphasizing that the "staff were unanimous that the experience is worth the effort that we put in."

Battle director Teruki Endo was unsure if the team could "put it all together in time" when he first saw "how much content would need to be created for this game, even just for the combat." Considering that every character combination has its own unbique synergy move, that's not too surprising.

Half way through Chapter 10 now.

I am at the half way point of Chapter 10, and there has been ZERO combat. It's been all walking and talking, looking at an observatory, "higher learning", listening to everyone babble on about Red's life here. And what they did with Red's voice in Chapter 10 is annoying as f***

Chapter 9 was pretty decent though.

I've managed to finish all world Intel and side quests now under Junon. Next step would be getting up to Junon. At 19 hours now and Chapter 4 😁

Second half of Chapter 10 was way better than the first half of Chapter 10.
