Game Lineup Comparisons

But recent months, they seems to have improve (probably due to the massive humbling they have receive, & they know they have to step up their game), & I am warming up a bit to them again.

I am looking to this year E3, & then see how it goes from here.

Yeah, me too. MS is doing better and trying harder. I am strongly leaning PS4 but will wait until E3 before making my final decision. Who knows, maybe Spencer will come on stage and say something that will change my mind (e.g., announce Fallout 4 is exclusive).

Surveys show more people are switching from the 360 to PS4 than from the PS3 to Xbox one (http://www.news10.net/story/tech/gaming/2014/02/26/gamers-prefer-ps4-over-xb1/5826695/). Count me in as one of the former along with Andy. So no, not the exception.

Not sure how one can say PS4 is the "safe choice" and Xbox one is for "those willing to take risks." Perhaps you mean it is more risky to buy a more expensive console that is weaker and not doing as well? ;)
Right above your post
[QUQbertb I'm talking about the personality of the person, not, the compony. Also with exception, i was referring to those tha did switxh.OTE="Qbert, post: 172902, member: 15"]If more people are preferring the PS4 and making the switch....then it's no longer the exception to the rule. The exception to the rule, would be those that did not make the switch.[/QUOTE]

Still going with that better online fallacy, eh? Well, good luck on that!

PS3 games had dedicated servers but I guess PS4 games won't since X1 now had them.

And oooo, I can plug my cable box into my gaming consoles, sooo next-gen!

TL:DR - Just like MS you're going to have to do better than that.
Oh yeah. I forgot.... better games (but that's a given).

lol, not really.

Unless you define a lackluster hack and slash game and a ho hum shooter that could be had on 360 and pc and worse versions of multiplats as better.........

Better games is subjective, so don't even try that.

PS4 has better games, now your argument is invalid, because I said the other guy has better games.

Thank you, please try again.

What was the last game to come out for Xbox One? Not even trying to be funny I really have no idea. I know ID@Xbox isn't ready yet (that and indie games don't count IIRC) and Titanfall came out last month? Seems like a dry spell. I don't think launch games are going to cut it in an argument of which has better games six months later.

The last disc based game was I think a Lego game. The last "any game" was Super Time Force a few days ago.

They need to gain momentum now in NA. Who knows, that could be the announcement of couple special games.

They did that with the announcement of a kinect less sku. Think that's going to work out nicely for MS.

For me the dry spell is on the PS4 but i knew what to expect. I wanted to play Infamous: Second Son enough to drop $400 on the console. That and i figured Killzone: Shadow Fall would be fun. I really have no idea what's been coming out on the PS4 either. A bunch of indy games? As far as exclusives go it seems like it's going to be a really dry Summer for Sony.

Meanwhile i've been swamped on the Xbox One. I haven't even gotten around to playing Dead Rising 3 yet. Been playing Titanfall and Ryse and Forza 5 were amazing. Nevermind all the multiplats that are out. I'd say i still have Knack to play on the PS4 but i'm probably not missing much there.

ID@Xbox, you know that indie development that has still yet to truly launch despite it being developed alongside Xbox One and <insert MS PR here>. I've seen a severe drought of games for both PS4 and Xbox One. But the last real game I've seen launch for Xbox One was Titanfall. I mean if you want to bring indies into the equation I still haven't seen a lot on the Xbox front, especially compared to it's rival console...hell how is the indie scene on Wii U as well?

Basically now that the launch window is over, what incentive is there to buy these consoles?

Not sure I would qualify MGS: Ground zeroes. It is a glorified demo. Spiderman 2, did that eventually release on xbox one ? I thought it got pulled days before release.

Microsoft needs to pick up their game in regard to indies. I think Wii U has more at this point.

You are not going to see a big move to the Xbox one until games quit being made for the 360. The launch exclusives are not going to keep driving sales this many months after launch.

At least it seems MS is heading that way. Nothing announced about the 360 at all.

How far back do you want to go? The Show? Infamous? What exclusives has the X1 had recently?

I want to go forward, not back. Already beat Infamous. The Show's good but it's a baseball game. I'm talking about great exclusives. Preferably a new IP like Microsoft has Sunset Overdrive coming this year. Not to mention Forza Horizon 2.

How long do we have to wait for a truly great PS4 exclusive that's not a remaster?

Infamous second son's been out for a while now.

Edit: oh sorry, you meant forward. Well, we have TLoU in July, drive club in October, little big planet 3 in November. Roughly the same time for the next great X1 exclusive, go figure.

I'll be getting The Last of Us but i already played it on PS3. Still looking forward to the remaster though. Forgot about DriveClub for a minute there. I hope that turns out good. LittleBigPlanet 3 will be solid but i don't know. I guess it's not that bad of a drought for exclusives. I just wish something else was coming. 2015 should be crazy.

It will take 3rd party moving to next Gen only but they will not do it any time soon. The install base of the 360 and PS3 is large enough to hold this Gen back for a couple of years.

Which isn't a good thing since this gen may only be 5-6 years long.

2015 will definitely be better.

Lots of big titles dropping: uncharted, the order, abzu, no man's sky, bloodborne, let it die, ratchet and clank reboot, everybody's gone to the rapture, rime, the witness, without memory and probably a bunch of other unannounced titles.

ITT..people who appear to only like companies and not games and choose to limit themselves

2014 looks like a dull year in gaming for most part. Most of the games do not come until late in the year. Sigh. Thankfully, I have a big backlog of games.
