Gamerscore

Which are JPEGs....lol;)
OH! Haha, I thought you were somehow referring to gamer pics that were mentioned in an earlier post.

But regardless, it's just that PING sound that gives me that sense of achievement!

    Not bad. Not bad.
    You've made 100 posts.
s***, it's starting.

Over 100k.

If I like a game and it has creative achievements I'll go for them other wise I couldn't care less and they have ruined online games more often than not.

I don't even know what my Gamerscore is. Never pay attention. I even disabled my achievement notifications because I felt like it could sometimes break the immersion (like in a cutscene).

Although, I understand that some (if not most) people like achievements and like to track them.

It depends on the game, if I'm enjoying a game and having fun with it I'll check the achievements after I've played through once and see what I missed. A game like Skyrim, Mass Effect, other RPG's I'm usually obsessed with playing them and the achievements usually come on their own. I don't play multiplayer, prefer the single player experience and a lot of games that used to be single player only I'd try and get all the achievements but that's now a rare game that has no multiplayer, plus I'm older and less patient, want to move on to the next game.

I like the ones that are funny or have a funny name for them, like in Ghostbusters the video game when you pass the Stay Puft level you get one called "Once s'more into the breach" :).

Big time. I also always have to laugh at the especially stupid ones, like topping the world leaderboards...
Back in the early days of the Xbox 360 I was on top of the leaderboards for the XBLA game Undertow. It didn't even have anything to do with online play, it was just how many kills you had in the game, SP included. I got to 100k kills and stopped. Waste of my life for sure

I hope we have better options available on XBox One? Would like to set it up so I only see the game invite pop ups cause at the moment Ive switched them all off.

I use the xbox360achievements site every now and again. Their guides are good.

I was always a completest to begin with. I'd get the collectibles in most games. Especially platformers. All gamerscore and trophies is a way for me to keep track of what games I've played and the accomplishments associated. Some of them were very fun. I think my favorite had to be Tetris Evolution for the 360. Had to get a gold medal for a score attack mode I believe and it stands tall as one of the hardest achievements ever in my opinion. Can't remember the exact number of games I maxed out, almost to twenty I think. Brutal Legend, Amped 3, BulletWitch, Costume Quest, Duke Nukem - Manhattan, Hell Yeah, Poker Night 2, Monday Night Combat, Tetris Evolution, and the legendary Avatar game (Burning Earth I believe). That Avatar game nets you 1000/1000 in the first five minutes of gameplay.

I'm ashamed to admit I rented that game for the achievements. Got 1000/1000 in like 2 minutes and never looked at it again.

It's a fun little platformer and is a fun distraction for kids at parties when you need it. Especially since it has co-op. It's a weird game that was both enjoyable yet eerily terrible in it's production values. I mean, they didn't bother to animate a little looped cycle for so many characters. They just let them stand still.... awkwardly. It was beautiful.

kids and sports are generally the easiest
for achievements
my brother and I compete with each other
he is ahead of me, but only because he went through 5 sports games
I have been playing the really old game
like ben 10 and naughty bear
did the mini ninjas.. I do not need great graphics to have fun
but the older games often have awkward controls

Another game I played just because it had easy achievements was King Kong. However, that game ended up being a lot of fun. I never would have picked it up otherwise.

I got that game for my daughter who loved that show (I liked it too) and played the game. Thought it was so ridiculous how quickly you got the achievements (I think there was like five of them).

older games usually have fewer achievements
like king kong
I do not think they knew what to do with them
so they lumped the points into fewer achievements
I prefer no online achievements.. say none for multiplayer
as when they take the game off the servers you will not be able to get those achievements

brothers in arms, hells highway is a great game
they did not have online achievements for points
they did have a special one for September 17
you had to play the game on that date [or cheat and change your Xbox clock.. I waited]
Remember September '44" on 9/17

and for those who do not know what that date was

I really want a sequel to brothers in arms.. finish the story

Haha yep. I believe there were 5, all for different level of "combos". I put combos in quotes because as I remember, I don' think it even cared if they were combos. Pretty much after killing 10-15 enemies, you were given the achievement no matter what.
