You're watching Pacific Rim for acting?

You're doing it wrong.

Testify! That's all I'm saying. I love Pacific Rim, and I only had 2 complaints (mediocre acting aside, but again, I don't care about the acting for these types of movies. I really liked Perlman's character though):

1. I wish Del Toro hadn't made it so family friendly.

2. MORE monsters and giant robots! More I say!

I saw every Godzilla movie as a kid at least a dozen times, and I'm excited for this one. If nothing else I'm sure Cranston will carry it through.

Now will someone please get going on that Voltron movie??

Just had some recent thoughts.

1) I just wondered what the point of sending in soldiers to fight such a large monster in an already destroyed city is. They have to be there for another reason, and then it dawned. f***ing Godzilla eggs. I really hope this isn't a remake of a remake.

2) I'm really hoping they have some legit Godzilla suit and hand-crafted buildings in there. Said it once and I'll say it a million times. CGI and practical effects are the way to go. With Godzilla, it'd be such a good fit in my opinion.

3) Please don't weigh down the movie with a lame human subplot like in Transformers. Granted, this one seems like it could be trying to strike a decent balance, but man, part of the reason those movies suck is because of all the human stuff.

This right here. Movies such as Godzilla don't benefit from it, it only serves to weigh them down.

oh that s*** don't look half bad think I shall go see it. I hope they just treat the monster as living natural disasters and people just tiring to get the f*** out of the way and serve.

I hope it does not have environmental messages in it but my guess it will.

I think it looks pretty damned awesome, also don't see how they are going to go play the environmental angle too heavily when they say in the trailer that they've were trying to kill it in 1954. Just by the two trailers they've shown so far it's already going to be 100 times better than the last American made Godzilla movie.

First trailer, I was like meh. Then the second one few weeks ago blew me away. Then this makes me sure I will watch this. Though I will be disappointed if the actual movie does not use Lygeti (i. e. 2001 monolith sound)

I watched that new trailer a couple of time now. Godzilla smashing up the city with a monologue from Hiessenburg... what more could you want!!

Yeah that long skinny "leg" that slammed onto the ground obviously wasn't part of Godzilla.

The IGN UK podcast gave away a few spoilers, they also had a 20 minute screening of the film, here are a few of the things they talked about.

Godzilla is 350 feet tall which is supposed to be the biggest Godzilla ever, he fights other monsters in the movie but not to save humanity it's more of a territorial kind of thing, starts off in Japan then moves to Hawaii then the mainland of the US, the other monsters feed off of radiation so nuclear weapons have to be moved away from populated areas, it's a serious tone like the first Godzilla movie.

Figured as much but it's still a relief to hear that Godzilla is not going to fight for mankind.

I've read some possibilities on the multiple monster angle and sounds pretty good. Can't wait for this movie.
