Gotta love getting new TVs

Went from 50" DLP to 60" Panny plasma a couple years ago. Anything above a 6" difference is pretty wild if it's your first time in your home.

I only have 50" :( Wish I could've gone to 55" couple of years ago.

Last Black Friday I went from a 32" to a 51" which I currently have. What a difference.

Went from 720p on a 32" to 1080p on a 42" over Xmas. The difference is incredible.

My first TV purchase more than 20 years ago now, changed channels instantly. It has only been in the last year or so have the new fangled thin TV's changed channels as fast as that one did...

Already found my next TV.

Unless you're watching in pitch black projectors look washed out,

I saw some pretty impressive hd projectors in the national media museum over here. I was thinking I might get one based upon what I'd seen, although it wasn't fully light in the room where they had them so maybe that made the picture look better.

Went from 50 to a 60 inch 1080p just recently, big difference especially since the 50" was 720p.

Also love playing around and calibrating the tv settings with a shiny new TV. :D

My state is going to start charging sales tax on Amazon purchases tomorrow so I went out with a bang ordering a Panny VT60 plasma. I know Ive read from many here that its a great gaming tv and with it soon being discontinued the timing was right to take the plunge. Looking forward to delivery on the 7th!

Thanks, needed to hear that as I didn't research much other than hearing so many good things here and TXB about what a great TV it is. I looked at the ZT's too but my man cave has zero ambient light and what I read said that in a good dark room the VT is just about as good (and $500 cheaper). Now I just need to decide which system gets the plasma. I also have a Samsung 55" LCD that will be moved to the family room. I'm thinking of putting the X1 on that for the fitness and family stuff.

Wondering, the Panny plasma has 3D and that is new to me...does the PS4 or X1 have 3D capability with their Blu-Ray players and games?

If the game supports 3D it will, don't know bout Blu-Ray though

I know the PS4 does I played the Trine 2 demo in 3D, it was beautiful. No 3D bluray support on either system yet, I own a nice Panny bluray player for watching blurays though.

Yes I know. Hence the big difference I'm seeing.

I dont even know why they sell 720p and say it's hd...it's not even close to HD.

720 pixels versus 1080 pixels...easy math right there.
