I think been starved of a good RPG has definitely helped it's goty cause. I wanted to love it but just found myself forcing my way through it, I hope The Witcher won't be the same but i loved the second so I don't think so.
 
This thread is so sweet. The anger in some is amazing. Glad to see there was a variety of games given the nod, although DA:I won the most it seems, it didn't own the internet and we see lots of cool games getting quite a few nods.

That definitely didn't hurt it, but I think it could have taken the title besides that. 2014 didn't have too many huge games anyway.

Where did you play. I have only a couple of crush so far playing the PS4 version, & I clocked over 100 hours.
